My experience was an exact week before the rollercoaster derailment' not surprised at all! The city and boardwalk are run down and not maintained by the city. Unsafe they let homeless people hang out in the store to cool down watch your little girls they stare hard and hold your purse or bag close one woman brushed me and I'm pretty sure they were trying to get in my purse. If that's not enough. Prizes are a RIP off! Spent over a $100 for 4 people and ended up with a slappy hand a yo yo and a finger puppet. Not to mention getting our crappy prizes took longer than playing in the arcade. The long stringy gray hair woman spent 20 mins ignoring all the kids to attend to what appeared to be three homeless people trading game cards. Really hire more help! Another employee came back there a Male who took 10 mins messing with time cards which took the lady away from helping us another 10 mins he disappears and she goes back to the homeless ppl. Leaving 4 kids and parents waiting again. Games are ok don't waste your money but we won't be back on account of the unsafe environment and because of that lady at prizes nasty attitude and ignoring kids,if you hate kids get another job you look like you live with an I...
Read moreWas pleasantly surprised by this fun little arcade. My son and I had a great time playing the games. The employees were very kind and helpful as some of the games didn't work properly but we were immediately taken care of and the situation fixed. Plenty of newer games plenty of nostalgic games, a nice little collection by the beach. Definitely worth a stop, not to mention they also have a snack bar with a full menu including beverages. Frozen daiquiris, pina colada, etc, including alcohol are served all day. Located close to the pier. No shirt, no shoes, no mask required, just have a good time! Machines use quarters not tokens and yes they do give tickets for prizes. Surprises were actually pretty cool. We got a nice little statue of a man built out of seashells that says Daytona Beach. I would consider a visit to Daytona Beach incomplete without spending a couple hours here at Mardi Gras Fun Center. A great place for friends, family, kids, a date, you name it a great place all around. Yes they do have ski ball & generally the arcade standards, pop a shot, pinball, racing, etc! Thanks for a great time Mardi...
Read moreI took my 2 kids here to play and enjoy a chilly windy day at the beach. I sat on the boardwalk watching them as they play. I noticed one of the workers (and older guy that was working the prize stand in the back) had come up to where my kids were and stared at them for quite some time before approaching them. Of course I was watching the entire time and when I approached the guy he acted like the kids had been doing something wrong and refused to make eye contact with me. They’re both 7 and had done absolutely nothing wrong as I’m very strict and would have stepped in if they were doing anything wrong at all. They each had around $10 of quarters each to spend. The more I evaluated the situation the more uncomfortable I felt (my mom was with me and witnessed this as well and this really upset her). I feel like this man works at this place or owns this place to prey on children. I will never step foot back in this arcade. It’s all cash only too which in 2022 is unheard of. I will always support the other small businesses but this place is disgusting. Watch your kids, there’s evil people...
