Found a hair in my small bowl of soup & No apologies. Only attitude.
With over 17 million photo views here on Google and considering the variety and caliber of dining places I’ve eaten at, it should be evident that I’m not one to put hair in my own soup.
I brought it up to the counter to Gustavo, who is a kind young man. I said, “I was really enjoying the soup till I saw this hair.” He did apologize. The manager however, petite, thin lady or girl (Steff), told him that I ate all the soup already, so they could give be a refund but not another bowl of soup. What!? Does that make any sense at all. I said, “Well, I’d rather have the soup. I was enjoying it ..”.
Now, the fact is that their portions are almost embarrassingly small, as noted by other contributors. But I only ate five to six spoons of the soup and having her say I ate it all, well that’s untrue.
She came to the register to refund me … with a professional attitude, you know, the one where they act passive aggressive like YOU are the problem. She proceeds to work the screen. Being a grown adult, I say, “Just to be clear, you think I’m being unreasonable?” “I didn’t say that” she replied. “Well, it’s clear, you stated that I ate all the soup” I said. “You did sir “ “If that’s true, then what is it that Gustavo poured out in the trash in front of me. Answer me that” She’s pauses to pretend she didn’t hear me, “What?”
Blah blah blah. Back and forth we go. She literally argues with me that I ate ALL the soup. It was unreal. How does a person, who seems reasonable on the outside, get to a place where they argue with a paying customer who has no previous issues at all!? Clearly for Panera, it’s better to simply pour another soup. I didn’t care if it was the same amount I had left! Just not in a hairy bowl.
Incredible that she never once apologized for the hair, instead chose to make the problem the customers fault and issue.
Im obviously so blown away by this that I’m taking this time to write it. All over a hair that was in THEIR bowl … no accountability. No courtesy.
Ultimately she refunds me. Unreal. Wish I took a picture!
I guess that’s why this location is so poorly rated. And EMPTY. See picture. Nobody...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer for years, but this location is the worst when it comes to take out orders! Most of the time they mess up my order, and if you dont personally check your order before you leave, you will drive all the way home to find out and either throw away your expensive meal or drive all the way back to fix it (neither is ideal). Last night was the last straw... I ordered the you pick two with half soup (creamy corn chowder) and sandwich (med veg without feta cheese) to go. I also ordered a bread bown a l carte for another person. Nothing complicated or unique... first, they always mess up and put feta on my sandwhich, even when it clearly says on the ticket NO FETA, so I already know to ask the person making it when they hand it to me if they put cheese on it before I take it... usually they say "oh, oops, I'll remake it". Why cant they pay attention when they read the screen? It says it clearly. So he remade my sandwhich and put the soup in the to go cup and handed me the bag... without the bread bowl... I asked him about the breadbowl to which he responded "you didnt order a breadbowl". I showed him my receipt that clearly said breadbowl and he said "oh, ok" (my point is if I didnt ask for it and just took the bag, I wouldnt have received it). I went home and opened the soup to find creamy chicken and rice- not the corn chowder I had ordered and was clearly on my ticket!!! I am a vegetarian, so that was not an option, so back to Panera I went, asked to speak with a manager, explained the situation and asked for everything new. Matt assured me he would remake the order himself immediately. I trusted the manager (bad idea), took the bag home and by the time I sat down to eat, almost 11 pm due to my work schedule, opened my bag to find the soup was correct, but now the sandwich (supposed to be med veggie without feta) was now chicken bacon avacado!!! By this time Panera was closed so I was out of luck, but obviously wasnt interested in returning a third time and if the incompetancy extends to the management, then theres not much hope for improvement. I hope...
Read moreI would never go to this place if you payed me. I ordered the green goddess sandwich melt and they put an ingredient on it that was spicy. I always order this Sandwitch and that ingredient never came on it. So I called because I did an online order and picked it up when I got back to work I noticed it was sooooo spicy. So when I called and talked to a KIM they said they were the night time manager and just ask for her. So naturally when I arrived I asked for KIM this other rude manager DARIA said and I quote “I can take care of you KIM doesn’t know anything about anything”Immediately had an attitude with me she talked to me like I was stupid. I nicely explained what had happened and she replied what do you want me to do about it? I was simply asking if they could exchange my sandwich. I took one bite of it not too much to ask, especially when I order from there all of the time.I asked if I could get a gift card and I’ll order something else another day because I was so turned off by her attitude. She rolled her eyes. Didn’t say anything walked to the back came back five minutes later. And stated why would I give you a gift card just order something else. She proceeded to argue with me that the ingredient that was spicy ALWAYS comes in the sandwich blah blah blah. I was speechless I have never had anyone talk to me so rudely and I’m not the type to even write reviews but I felt like if she could take time out of her day to be rude and offensive so could I. I wasn’t even upset that I had to drive back to get a new sandwich or that the sandwich was spicy 🌶️. I was just asking what my options where idk why she got so mad that I asked a simple question. Non the less everyone else especially BREE was amazing. I feel bad for the employees that have to DEAL with that @$$ for a boss. So DARIA if you see this maybe get out of the customer service industry because it’s clearly not for you. You know the saying don’t quite your day job….well I think you should quote...
