My husband and I had the opportunity to try this restaurant for the first time yesterday. It's conveniently located near our home, and it caught our attention the other evening with its charming exterior. I'm happy to say the food and service exceeded our expectations—everything was excellent. The Meatball Ricotta pizza, in particular, was outstanding!
Our server (unfortunately we didn’t catch his name) was kind, attentive, and thorough without being intrusive. He truly enhanced our dining experience.
However, there was one aspect of our visit that was disappointing. While we were enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, a blonde woman—who appeared to be an owner or manager—came outside, made brief polite conversation, and then lit a cigarette right in front of the dining area. It was a windy afternoon, and the smoke immediately blew toward the tables. I have a smoke allergy, and the exposure was physically uncomfortable.
Our server noticed I was covering my face and, in a commendable effort, politely asked her to relocate. She returned indoors, but shortly after, came back out with another individual (possibly a co-owner or manager), and proceeded to smoke again. This time, I was in the middle of my meal and again had to shield myself from the smoke. Eventually, they walked away, possibly noticing my discomfort.
I understand the risks of outdoor dining in public spaces and try to plan around them, which is why we chose a quieter time to visit. That said, I would expect more consideration—especially from ownership. As a fellow General Manager, guest comfort and overall experience are always my top priorities. It was disappointing to see the owner's personal habit prioritized over that of new patrons.
While the food and service were fantastic, this experience left us hesitant...
Read moreThe food was good but the service was HORRIBLE. The first issue started off with never getting my garlic rolls with my meal from the waitress who obviously seemed over whelmed. Second issue was that I ordered Baked Ziti but was given raviolis and when I said I ordered baked ziti I was told the raviolis were baked ziti and was given an attitude when they went to remake my meal. (Ravioli was In a casserole dish covered in cheese) Third issue was as soon as my baked ziti was brought to my table they dropped the check off which was for $44.(I was planning on getting coffee and desert but decided against it after the check was brought over with my meal) Fourth issue was I gave them a brand new Amex gift card for $100 which they couldn’t figure out how to use and ultimately charged $74 to it, tried to void it and said it will be refunded in a few days and they wanted me to pay another way now. FIFTH ISSUE IS THEY SNEAKILY ADDED $30 OF WINE TO MY CHECK AFTER I GOT THE ORIGINAL ONE AND GAVE MY PAYMENT. WHEN I GOT THE ORIGINAL CHECK IT WAS $44 BUT WHEN IT CAME BACK AFTER SAYING THEY SCREWED UP MY AMEX GIFT CARD IT NOW SAID $74. (I don’t drink wine and did not order any.) 6th Issue is the waitress was horrible and never once checked on us with the food or empty soda glasses. When I started to dispute this all the waitress had a huge attitude and just walked away. I then found the owner who took about 15 minutes trying to figure out what happened with the check and ultimately did remove the wine after a fight. To end the story they charged me full price for everything minus the wine and gave me the cash back on what was extra over my Amex gift card. The food was not worth this horrible service and I will...
Read moreI called in to order pasta. I asked if they had any white sauces other than any Alfredo sauce, and I guess that was too hard for the guy on the phone to understand. (It sounded like he had a spanish accent.) So he passes the phone to another employee, and I explain the same thing. She then puts me on hold, comes back and asks me to repeat what I want. She then puts me on hold AGAIN to ask the chef what other white sauces they had…like don’t you work there??? She kept laughing and telling me she’s “sorry.” I immediately got annoyed because how hard is it to to say yes or no? She finally says all they have is Alfredo pasta and I said that was fine. I then told her that I want shrimp Alfredo. She even read back the order! I never got a chance to eat last night because I passed out before I even checked the pasta. I just rushed home from working in the rain only to find out that there is NO pasta in my shrimp! So I call the store and ask for a manager, and the guy on the phone (who sounded like the same man from yesterday,) says he is the manager that’s speaking. So I explain to him, and he acts confused at first, proceeding to ask why didn’t I call yesterday. It doesn’t matter when I called, the point is it’s missing shrimp! He told me he’s sorry, and can’t fix the order. So I told him I was going to leave a review as he claimed all of a sudden he can’t hear me. Saddest thing is, I used to come to this restaurant years ago, now I remember why I stopped going. 0...
