Finally open and I was too excited. Very well lit and nicely decorated. Friendly staff. Nice family friendly music playing in the background that’s not too loud. It was quite a number of tables occupied on this nice Saturday night and I was seated right away at table 20 by a young man that never introduced himself. He gave me a cup water and since I already knew what I wanted I placed my order before he could leave. I ordered the pork spring rolls, the Korean style beef short ribs, and a Thai tea no Bobba. My Thai tea never made it to the table, the pork spring rolls had NO taste at all even w/ the sauce they serve it with. I had to doctor them up w/ hot sauce. The short ribs were very tender but also tasteless. The egg on the rice was supposed to be served sunny side up but it was cooked all the way and it also lacked flavor. They need to add just a sprinkle of salt to their food, just a sprinkle. I felt like I was eating hospital food. As I was eating there was a young lady sweeping the floor and she comes to me and ask if I can hold up my feet so she can sweep under my table. I was shocked. Who sweeps at the table someone is eating at? Oh and did I say I NEVER got the Thai tea? As I was finishing my food was when my server finally came and asked how I was doing. I said “meh” and told him I never got the Thai tea but it was ok as I just drank the water. At this time the restaurant had pretty much cleared out and they weren’t as busy. Ok so when you get your bill they automatically assume you’re paying with card and add 3% to ALL menu items AND then they add the 7% tax to that total. They do have 2 signs on the front door as you walk in that says they add the percentage but people were shocked and asking why. If you pay cash they’ll reprint your receipt w/ the cash price. I think I’ll stick to the pho restaurant off Glades, I don’t think I’ll be returning here. Update::::I went back and the food was MUCH BETTER!!!

"What the Actual Pho, Man," is what they should have named the place. So, this is a new Vietnamese joint relatively close to West Boca in Deerfield. They have pho and hu tieu soups (half of which you cannot order yet), noodle salads, and banh mi — the last of which is harder to come by in north Broward and southern PBC. And also why I made the trip. It was nicely decorated inside. However, for the most part, I disliked the food, and not honoring offers on the menu plus charging extra for credit card transactions further soured the meal. 1) The cha gio egg rolls are small, starchy, and sparsely filled. 2) The rare beef pho was not rare when it came out (see photo), and all the noodles were stuck together in one mass. The aromatics of the broth were just OK. The beef was overcooked and chewy; I had two spoonfuls of broth and left the entire bowl over. Horrendous. 3) The -printed- glossy spiral binder menu says: if you buy five banh mi sandwiches, get one free (see photo). I ordered six so I could try all the variations, and the server then told me 2 minutes later they would not honor this anymore. What? I ordered five $7 sandwiches; $35 of food on top of the pho and egg rolls — they will make a big deal over one free $7 sandwich that is maybe $3 food cost? So I only ordered 2 instead. They lost extra sales over it just by annoying me. Arguably, the special ham was good, maybe a bit skimpy on meat and filling. The meatball one is OK; it has a lot of mayonnaise. 4) They charge you 3 percent for credit card transactions. Obnoxious. It's further away from the 3 top-notch Vietnamese places in Margate (Pho Steak Bowl, Pho Gia Vi, Vo An) from where I live in Coral Springs. The banh mi (and the bubble teas that everyone has now) is the main selling point and differentiation, but honestly, if I were in West Boca or this part of Deerfield, I would much rather eat at Pho Boca. Pass.

@ Richard your review inspired me to try this place as you said outbacks prime rib dinner across the way is better. LOL. RICHARD YOU ARE SO CONFUSED. This place PHO 954 did not disappoint. I typically eat at a pho place in boynton but this will be my new spot. not only is the food better but the restaurant is so modern and clean. The bathrooms are clean! this is important for because i feel like if the bathroom is dirty so is the kitchen. The ingredients were fresh and they pick the basil off the stem so you just put it in the soup and enjoy. the summer rolls with shrimp were so delicious with the peanut sauce. my favorite thing was probably the passion fruit lemonade. My only suggestion is to add mayo to the banh mi sandwich as it was a little dry. I highly recommend.

The customer service is terrible here I got a iced coffee and they give me more ice than coffee . I asked the guy about it and he went to the female at the cashier and she started yelling and screaming at him in Vietnamese . I asked him for an update and he said I need to ask her when I told her he sent me to her she started yelling at me too this time in English so I asked her why she was yelling and what kind of customer service is that and another guy came and tried to calm her down. She needs to be fired if they expect this restaurant to get returning customers . The coffee give me stomach cramps the next day and diarrhea so maybe the condensed milk was bad that they used. I will not return as her attitude lowered the value of my visit . The good reviews may be written by the staff in my opinion . My family all heard her and we’re all shocked with her behavior. We don’t plan on ever returning here. This is...
