This is a day trip you need to make and make soon if you like M. C. Escher. In their downtown museum they are showing a loaned exhibit of Escher's art that is awesome. Lots of his prints and a few lithographs and a few pieces of art based on his work. Also not far away is their new museum that has a display on American artists prints that is varied and enjoyable along with another visiting exhibit of a different sort of printing that I'll let you discover yourselves . Read moreBeen here before and it's a nice little museum. However, drove from Ormond Beach over to DeLand today to visit the museum. Went on the website ahead of time to make sure the hours were good. We get there and lo and behold. They are closed for a museum update. It would have been really helpful if they had made that announcement on the website which we visited prior to driving over. Read moreWe spent an hour and a half at the Museum of Art on a rainy day and it did not cost much at all. We enjoyed the experience. Parking is on property in a lot behind the building. The museum has spacious galleries on the first and second floors. The art is by different artists and gives the visitor a taste of the many impressions of the art that exist.
