THIS IS THE WORST PUBLIC LIBRARY I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED.
The fact that there's armed security patrolling at a library says a lot. Most of the people here are homeless, that is why the place always smells so foul. THE WORKERS, especially the lady that's still stuck in the 80's hairstyle and the lady with the long black hair. Both walk around with amnesia, forgetting that the tax payers fund these people their paychecks. Everyone working here acting like they're on their high horse in a public library. -I've witnessed so many scenarios where they completely dismiss the elder people finding their books. The lady with the black hair had a full on argument because she didn't help the old lady finds her books. -Another time, they almost made this poor old lady cry because the old lady placed a bag in the corner of the library (out of sight) and went to look for a book. They demanded her to carry that bag around with her at all times. She looked like she wanted to cry and she even told me these people here are just NASTY. What is the point of that? She's not bothering anyone. But they'll ignore the homeless people and let them be loud and disruptive. They lock their "public" Wi-Fi, so everyday you have to go face to face with the nasty people to ask for the password.... every single day. At a PUBLIC library.
The only 2 people that's actually nice and helpful here excluded from this nasty place is the older security and the tall young guy working behind desk. This is the closest library around or else I wouldn't step foot in here to deal with these nasty people.
Quote from another person's review "Most staff are nice a few are on edge and irritable, I think they may forget our (home owners) taxes actually pay for our...
Read moreThis is a great library if you take the time to learn about the library. I have 2 little girls close together in age and when they were younger it was very hard to take them to the library bc they were so overwhelmed by all the books, they would be running all over and grabbing every book. So i would go to the children's desk and ask if they could please help me, just need like 10 good books to take home and they'd go pick some out and I could be on my way. Now my girls are older and much more well behaved, and now our issue is that its hard to find books that are good for their age and that they like bc there are so many to choose from. So i ask if they can show me how to find books and get the most out of my visit and they always help us to have a great experience. I've been coming to this library since I could read. Now they have self checkout too, it's like they're the future now haha. I...
Read moreExtremely rude woman who answered the front desk phone this evening 1/2/24… no communication whatsoever, felt like a very simple question which she clearly wasn’t understanding no matter the amount of times I explained in simple terms & the she grew increasingly impatient & fussy- sassy, actually. Actually started to speak down to me & attempt to school me… I don’t get where she’s coming from- must’ve had a Very Bad day & needs to vent it on random, innocent library patrons. Bizarre for a librarian to be so off-putting… try another branch, this one needs to...
