This comment is not about the store, variety of store/service, store teams, etc. it’s just about the SHOPPING MALL.
I am very dissatisfied with the security at Cherry Creek Mall. Almost every day, we see the security team running after a thief in the mall corridors. However, when we talk to the store owners, they say that the security team's interception of thieves is well below expectations. Protests are another problem that I notice. Routinely, this mall is the scene of protests, although valid at times, these types of demonstrations are very inconvenient for customers who came to the mall for leisure and relaxation.
Another point that I consider here is the physical structure and maintenance. The bathrooms are small and very limited, although usually clean. The mall corridors are very narrow and impassable on weekends, and bumps are something that will certainly happen if you visit this place on busy days. Also, people with reduced mobility - and in this place, it will certainly be reduced. In Cherry Creek Mall, wheelchair users have serious mobility problems due to the small number of elevators and ramps. Other points that I should mention here are the smell of sewage and non-automated doors. The odor is common in some parts of this establishment, perceived in the early hours of opening; and this establishment does not have automatic doors, especially those that give access to garages and the exterior of the mall, something strange when we think about health safety and public convenience.
These are some points that lead me to rate this mall with this note/rate. I hope this comment helps new visitors and customers who plan to visit this mall, but I also hope it helps administrators make improvements to this...
Read moreWhile this is a typical mall, it is atypical in the way that they charge people for visiting. Anyone using the parking garage to visit merchants in the mall are charged a minimum of $2 (the first hour) and $2 each additional hour with a $16 maximum. Given the pandemic, the mall is sparsely attended and many shops are closed. Parking is plentiful. Even before the plague, the mall parking lots were fairly wide open (except during Christmas).
The one store that is busy is the Apple store which requires an appointment to shop. Even when you have an appointment and are able to get in and out of the mall in under an hour, you're still charged.
Apparently, the Taubman Company, which runs Cherry Creek Mall has failed to recognize the decline in retail shopping. Instead of discouraging people by charging a fee for parking, they should be using the parking garage as an attraction to get more shoppers into their mall. Further, they should take a roll in being good corporate citizens of the area and by encouraging people to park at the mall and explore the rest of the Cherry Creek Community - including Cherry Creek North.
Their rationale for charging for parking is the exact reason they should keep parking free. If people park at the mall and then go explore the rest of the neighborhood because there's no other parking in Cherry Creek, that should be a good thing! If Cherry Creek gets a reputation as an area with no parking then people will look to other parts of Denver to do their shopping. Shopping will decline throughout the area -...
Read moreThis is a fantastic mall, but don’t pay for parking! Park offsite take the trail and walk in for free.
I came here because I had some time to kill and I actually drove here so I ended up having to pay to park. It was relatively cheap, but that’s beside the point you should never have to pay for parking. I will tip a valet, but not a ticket machine.
aside from the parking, this mall makes you believe that malls are not dying in America. After living in Las Vegas and seeing this mall in 2023 I feel like I’m back in Vegas with stores like Louis Vuitton, and Gucci extravagance is the name of the game. This mall had some amazing locations including an Apple store.
I would love/hate to see this place on Black Friday. I can only imagine the deals that they would have at North Face and Vans.
The food court had some very interesting options, as well as some hidden restaurants with lots of seating. I think I even saw a kiosk selling alcohol. I don’t believe alcohol and malls should mix because it supposed to be a younger and family generation thing, but it seems to me like Colorado holds its liquor well.
I would recommend coming here during your time off or if you need to buy somebody something special and you don’t have a budget.
Did I mention that I saw a Lucid dealership which is the new electric car company? they also had a few cars around the mall sponsored by a local exotic car dealership. I like that.
