Review Update: Good managers make a difference! Just one day after my review I received a call from the store manager Charlie. He apologized for the error, refunded my charge, and offered to fix my backpack for free. I told him I was happy to pay but he felt I had been inconvenienced enough, could use this as a teaching opportunity for his team, and wanted to make sure Feral was sending a positive message for future customers and the community. I met the owner Jimmy when I picked up my backpack, and told him how much I appreciated the way Charlie handled my situation. He was aware of the issue, and thanked me for giving them the chance to make it right. Which they did. I can now recommend Feral to my friends and my community.
Original Review: With so many great reviews I was shocked at the terrible service I received. I brought in my backpack to be repaired because it was ripped alongside the zipper. When I came to pick it up, they had sewn it shut. Instead of fixing the rip along the zipper, they removed the zipper and sewed it closed up. I showed it to the clerk on duty, he apologized and said he would resubmit it for repair. He agreed that it even stated clearly on the ticket that it was ripped "along the zipper". The next day their repair girl Erin called me to argue that it never had a zipper in the first place. She refused to listen. I couldn't believe it. After far too long, she offered to add a zipper, but at an additional cost. I told her to forget it and I would pick up my backpack. To make matters worse, when I came to pick it up they charged me $54.00! I was shocked. Now I have to buy a new zipper to replace the one they removed - and pay someone else to fix it. I will not be coming back, and will make my friends and my community aware of...
Read moreUpdate Below - Pretty unhappy with my experience. Purchased a jacket thinking it was a large. The store tag and receipt said it was a large and so did their system. Quickly found out it was a medium when I got home. Went to return it 2 days later and they would only offer me a store credit, even though they where the ones who mislabeled the item. The manager even admitted the original size tag was hard to read.
The manager was very friendly even though I was a bit annoyed with the situation. Still giving 3 stars as the store was great and the staff was nice. This was my first visit and I'm pretty bummed out I'm out 70$ unless I only spend it here. I understand you all have tax stuff to handle regarding returns but I wish they would have taken some responsibility here as I basically purchased an incorrectly described item. I hope Feral reconsiders their return policy for situations like this in the future.
UPDATE: The owner of the store has reached out to me to address this. He took the steps to make things right, including refunding my money to my card. I appreciate the owner's commitment to customer satisfaction and want to encourage others to visit this store as well. They truly go above and beyond to ensure that their customers are happy and satisfied. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend...
