MDE Lounge — Attraction in Denver

Be around people who feed your soul, not eat it. MDE Lounge is perfect if you have an appetite for good Colombian food, sexy vibes, and want to lounge or put on your sexy stilettos for a good time.

Came in for dinner before the Two Feet concert and it got us in the mood for a fun night of laughter, dancing and serious burning of calories. Settled in busy South Broadway area, parking is as good as you can find it. You can go bar hopping and end up here. Or start and stay here nestled in the velvet couches or club chairs. Recently opened, it hasn't been discovered to where you can't get reservations or a spot at the bar. Place starts filling around 8ish and the club atmosphere kicks in around 1030pm. Staff is attentive without being overly helicopter as you dine or drink.

Incredible drink selections are amazing with a nice selection of rum. Had the melo cocktail which features avua cachaca, a rum but sure tasted like the strongest tequila fun decision of the night. Babe had the Zona Rosa which is basically a fruit salad with tequila and rum.

We ordered the ceviche de chicharrone that has such great flavors with crispy pork belly. Nothing left but a scraped up bowl. Suggest also the empanadas because you can't come here and not taste a staple item. The carne asada is amazing and basically a large slab of nicely grilled meat. LOVE IT!!!! Babe had the hamburguesa paisa which also is a nice slab of beef with bacon topped with pineapple salsa. I wish I could have had room for dessert but my slinky dress didn't cooperate. Next time... I have my eyes on the panna cotta de cafe and cheesecake guava.

Servers were super nice and check in on your regularly. Loved the music. Pretty small venue but certainly felt like you were eating in a club. Also kind of smelled weird and was really cold inside there.

Seemed like a heavy pour in the drinks which was good since the drinks were pricey. The food here is super overpriced and honestly a bit mediocre. Paying $13 for fries with cheese on it is a bit outrageous, even if there are one or two tiny quail eggs sliced on top. There wasn’t a wide variety of food to choose from either (I’m talking 2-3 entrees) and when I came a few of those very few options were also out of stock so it was super limited.

I wasn’t necessarily looking for upscale but was certainly hoping for a bit more than what it offered considering the price. It might just be another one of these restaurants opening up and charging big city prices without the big city touch in their food or vibe. I’d probably come back for a drink one of these days, or when it’s busier for the music but I’ve had better...

Disappointing experience in MDE - Registered reservation and excessive minimum consumption

Unfortunately, my experience at MDE was completely disappointing. I booked a table for a group of 6 people to celebrate my birthday and they confirmed the reservation for the day and time. However, when I arrived at the place, I was told that there was an error and that my reservation was not registered. What they offered me instead was a table on the condition that I consumed at least $500, which seemed completely illogical and excessive to me.

What bothered me the most was the imposing attitude of the employee, who told me that there was nothing to do and that she took it or left it. He assured me that anywhere in Denver, the minimum consumption was $500 to be able to sit at a table, which seemed to me a false and dishonest statement.

My group and I decided to leave, even though we could have consumed more or less than $500. The lack of professionalism and the lack of willingness to solve the problem were disappointing.

I do not recommend MDE to anyone looking for a pleasant gastronomic experience without unpleasant surprises. The lack of transparency and the attitude of the staff leave much to be desired.

Experiencia decepcionante en MDE - Reserva no registrada y consumo mínimo excesivo

Lamentablemente, mi experiencia en MDE fue completamente decepcionante. Reservé una mesa para un grupo de 6 personas para celebrar mi cumpleaños y me confirmaron la reserva para el día y la hora. Sin embargo, al llegar al lugar, me dijeron que hubo un error y que mi reserva no estaba registrada. Lo que me ofrecieron en su lugar fue una mesa con la condición de que consumiera al menos $500, lo cual me pareció completamente ilógico y excesivo.

Lo que más me molestó fue la actitud imponente de la empleada, quien me dijo que no había nada que hacer y que lo tomaba o lo dejaba. Me aseguró que en cualquier lugar de Denver, el consumo mínimo era de $500 para poder sentarse en una mesa, lo cual me pareció una afirmación falsa y deshonesta.

Mi grupo y yo decidimos irnos, a pesar de que podríamos haber consumido más o menos de los $500. La falta de profesionalismo y la poca disposición para resolver el problema fueron decepcionantes.

No recomiendo MDE a nadie que busque una experiencia gastronómica agradable y sin sorpresas desagradables. La falta de transparencia y la actitud del personal dejan mucho que desear. La falta de comunicación y la actitud del personal hicieron que nuestra experiencia fuera...
