I went for my first time about a month ago. My husband bought me a 90 min deluxe scalp treatment for my bday and I was soooo looking forward to it. All I can say is “Ehh”. Parts of the head scalp deluxe treatment felt amazing! But overall I feel the girl doing my treatment was very inexperienced or she’s just not very good. Sorry, I debated leaving a not so great review bc I feel bad doing that but I’m doing this so she can succeed in the future. She was nice but barely spoke or spoke so quietly I could barely hear her. First she had me smell the different scents up front and just stared at me after not saying anything. After an uncomfortable silence she asked which one do you want. She may want to preface why she’s asking you to smell next time. after checking me in her instructions on where to go or what to do were very minimal. After I put on my robe (which by the way were sooooo nice and comfy) I walked out to the front desk and asked what am I supposed to do. It was just weird. If you’re working with people for a living you need to learn how to speak clearly and engage with your client. You can’t be shy and quiet. Then when the massage started, like I said parts felt great. And other parts were just ehh. For example she used the head scratcher thing for literally 10 seconds max. Why even bother? Then throughout the head spa, 1/4 of the time was spent with her fiddling with things on the tray/table, looking for different instruments, having difficulty opening I’m assuming a face mask package? Why is that stuff not ready on the tray BEFORE you start the treatment? she also left at one point to go check someone in . So my head spa was sporadic and interrupted the whole time. When she was done drying my hair at the end she said they are supposed to charge extra for long hair. I apologized bc I had received my massage as a gift and didn’t know. She said she wouldn’t charge me this time. After my appointment I looked at the website and it does clearly state $15 for long hair/xtra 10 mins. My husband missed that. HOWEVER my hair was dry and I was checked out at 90 mins. What was she “not charging me for this time”? 😂. I paid for 90 mins and I got 90 mins. Lastly, I’ve never had a massage therapist LEAVE me before to go check people in. You really need to fix that if you want repeat business. In the end I did tip $35 bc she was nice and parts did feel really good. I just think she was inexperienced. if I go again I will request somebody with...
Read moreI wait a week before writing this review because I really didn't want my immediate disappointment take over. I saw this all over social media and was so excited to try it here in Colorado for my birthday. One of my fav. thing to do when I travel is try different head spas. I have done it in Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, California and Atlanta. Pro: The spa nice and clean Con: For the price they charge you expect a spa like experience, not just an extremely clean scalp. Bad scheduling system and horrible customer service No water/ tea offer when you walk in. I was so thirsty through out my whole appointment We booked 3 girls for Deluxe Head spa $195 each, scheduled on the phone 3 days before our appointment. When we arrived they said we were not on the schedule. They weren't able to take all 3 of us. They said they don't do their own phone appointments and different company does it. After talking to the ladies at the front desk for over 20 min after our original appointment, they gave us the option of doing 1 essential spa and 2 deluxe but they will be at different time. I ask if they would offer any discount or promotion for the inconvenience. They laugh and told me "no we don't do that." WELL THAT'S A LIE, since on their website it say 10% off for 2 or more head spas. But also is call customer service. During my treatment. They show me my scalp but didn't tell me what type of product they will use for it. So I feel like they use same product for all type of hair and scalp. When i was finally a little relax i felt like someone was over me, when I open my eyes, there was a different lady getting stuff under my bed which scared the day lights out of me. The halo around my eyes was not relaxing I felt claustrophobic
Tips for future customer: wear comfy shoes they don't have any shoes or slippers. Lockers are limited so don't bring anything valuable. Double check your appointment before taking off work early or finding a baby sitter. Bring your own water or drinks since you won't get any until the end of...
Read moreI have so much great to say about the hair and scalp service - WOW! Such a pampering and relaxing experience.
Pros: They use a microscope to evaluate the scalp before and after the treatment - and I saw an unbelievable difference in the cleanliness and health of my scalp when the service was completed. The service is wonderful and relaxing. I really enjoyed the "hair play" and water halo. I loved how thorough the wash was. My scalp definitely needed it! My hair is the softest and feels the healthiest is ever been. They have a really beautiful location. It's thoughtfully decorated and has a luxurious aesthetic. Things to note: The scalp treatment room has two spots for two clients at a time. The room is dark, and I started my service in the middle of another customer's treatment; and another customer started their treatment midway through my session. There's a lot of different noises during this transition time which kind of took from the experience. Some of the scalp treatment is ... less than gentle. I personally really liked the more aggressive approach, as it felt like it was super effective, but you should tell them to go easy ahead of time if you've got a sensitive scalp. Unfortunate Things I had an appointment booked at 2, was called earlier in the day and was told that the water would be off and was asked to push my appointment to 2:30. No problem there - however my appointment didn't actually begin until 3:00. While it didn't impact the rest of my day too much, I didn't feel like my time was respected. There was no one at the reception desk when I arrived, and as a first time customer, it was really awkward sitting there waiting, especially when the appointment started so late. I didn't know if I should continue to sit there, or if I should have called someone.
Overall, I enjoyed the service, however a few things made me feel that it wasn't worth the cost (equal to a body massage). With a price tag like that - one should definitely have a...
