Five stars all day long!! Saw these floating tikis in the harbor the last few times we came to Destin. This time I decided to book a sunset 1.5 hour private charter tiki and couldn't be happier with the experience. We were a party of 4 ranging from 44 to 77 years old.
Informative website made booking easy. Email and text communications on the day of were appreciated and helpful.
We arrived early as recommended by our captain who texted all we needed to know prior to our arrival. Captain Josh escorted us aboard our private tiki float (which is all set up for swimming and has rafts and water toys too). The vessel was spotlessly clean and well equipped with fun party lights, a shot glass paddle for extra fun, music of your choosing which you control, comfortable seating, and a truly awesome captain. We first cruised the harbor and learned about the local restaurants and lounges along the waterfront. Next we headed to Crab Island to watch the sunset and find dolphins.
While at Crab Island a cup was floating close to our boat so Captain Josh got closer and my husband grabbed the trash from the water. In the process my husband's reading glasses fell into the water from his shirt collar when he reached into the water for the cup. We were not dressed for swimming. Captain Josh removed his shirt and jumped in...even though we already mentioned they were cheapy readers that could be easily replaced. Sure enough after a few minutes in poorly lit water, he came up wearing the glasses with a huge smile on his face. Such consideration and kindness is rare and so much appreciated. Thanks again Josh. I hope your employers know what a good person they have working for them.
We spent the next part of the cruise watching dolphins, which seemed to be all around us at times. The last leg was back to the starting point. Being late in August it was already dark and the harbor was just gorgeous with so many lit up homes and businesses. We were able to enjoy the sunset as well as the harbor lights all in 1.5 hours.
Thank you Cruisin Tikis for a...

My group had a Tiki Crab Island trip scheduled this week, which was unfortunately cut significantly short due to weather. We made it out to Crab Island, but shortly after arriving, Captain Andy—along with other captains on the water—ended the trip due to nearby lightning. Safety comes first, and we absolutely understand that weather is unpredictable and outside anyone’s control.
However, the experience we paid over $525 for was cut in half, and that matters. The policies clearly outline strict expectations for customers: no refunds for cancellations or late arrivals, no exceptions. That same level of accountability should apply to your company when the full service can’t be delivered.
We still tipped Captain Andy, acknowledging that the weather situation wasn’t his fault. He didn’t go above and beyond, but he got us there and back safely.
What’s more frustrating is the complete lack of communication since. We emailed immediately following the trip requesting a refund and followed up again 24 hours later—still no response. Not a phone call, not an email. Nothing.
At this point, it seems clear that the priority is taking peoples money, not providing quality customer service. Very disappointing....
Read moreIt's a floating tiki bar. Enough said... Does it get any cooler than that? Captain Kevin is the best!!!! Try to get on his boat if you can. My wife, six year old son, and I did the three hour Crab Island tour. Kevin let our son drive the boat part of the way. He absolutely loved that. Don't be misled though. Crab Island is not really an island. You probably won't see any crabs. It's a sand bar. When you get there, there are 100 other boats there and about 1,000 other people doing the same thing you are. The boats anchor and you can get off to swim or walk around and visit other boats / people. The water is only about three feet deep. Drinking is allowed and there is A LOT of it going on. If you take young kids, I would suggest staying on the outer edge of the island to stay out of the party zone. There are a couple of boats running around selling ice cream and t-shirts. You can take your own drinks and snacks. It's a little pricey in my opinion for what you get. Also, three hours of being in waste deep water gets kind of old. Half that time would be sufficient. Overall though, I'm glad we did it. Captain Kevin definitely made it fun for us. He called the ice cream boat for us, took pictures...
