So I just spent 4 mornings in Destin for my birthday and upon arriving this place was recommended by my cousin and his wife. They had been here on a previous visit to Destin. We went Friday morning and the food was so great we came back two more times. I got the Bourbon Street which is the chicken and waffles. It is a luscious coconut Belgian waffle with crispy fried tenders and topped with a bourbon honey butter sauce. This is the perfect combination. The presentation was great, but it tasted even better than it looked. It is SOOOOOOO great. Good would be an extreme understatement. It was literally the best waffle I have ever eaten. It was nice and fluffy. Our server Chelsea was very attentive to us and offered recommendations on menu items as well as keeping our glasses full. Great service. The next morning we had a different server. She was great as well. I didn't catch her name. I had the Old 98 which two eggs, two strips of bacon and choice of either country fries (called home fries in some parts), coconut grits or homemade biscuit. I chose the grits and combined with my eggs for a nice southern breakfast. We didn't go out the next morning as we ate our leftovers from the previous two nights. On our final morning before departing I stopped by once again and Michelle was my server. She was great as well. She brought me a sample of their hot sauce which was flavorful. They sell jars of it. I should have bought one. I will next time. It would be great to toss some wings in. Michelle was very friendly. I will definitely be back.....multiple times again on my next trip down to Destin. I HIGHLY recommend anyone that visits the...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Blue Mahoe, a new breakfast restaurant in Destin, and I have to say that my experience was simply amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff, and the atmosphere was just perfect for a relaxing breakfast.

Now, let's talk about the food. I had trying a few dishes, but the standout was definitely the Bourbon Street - a plate of hand breaded, house seasoned chicken fillet fried to perfection, served with a Coconut Belgian waffle and Bourbon honey. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and I couldn't get enough.

The Bacon Triple Cheese Omelette was also a hit, with a sauté of onions, bacon, tomatoes, hot peppers, Fontina cheese, Cheddar cheese, and Asiago cheese. It was a spicy foodie's dream come true.

For me as a sweet tooth, the Old Texas - three slices of thick Texas French toast with powdered sugar and whipped cream - was an absolute delight.

But the real surprise came with the Special Dessert Biscuit, a chef's homemade biscuit topped with grilled pineapple, strawberry puree, whipped cream, and Bourbon syrup. I had never tasted anything like it before, and it was simply heavenly.

To wash it all down, I enjoyed an ice coffee that was fantastic and an Island Punch drink made with dark rum, coconut rum, orange juice, and pineapple juice that was also very good.

Their foods are creative and delicious, the staff is welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing breakfast in paradise. I'll definitely be back soon.can’t wait to try other foods...

Just ate here on my way out of Destin. $14 for two eggs two strips of bacon and one biscuit would be reasonable if the biscuit wasn’t burned. The whole place was Smokey and no one seemed to care it’s like the workers and owner are in la la land. The guy at the front wouldn’t sit us even though the table was ready. We were holding two babies and they just made me my wife and mother stand at the front for ten minutes. Just to seat us at an empty table six steps away. It took an extra ten minutes for my wife’s toast that comes with the plate she ordered. Her food had already gotten cold. Not kid friendly.

Being a foodie it’s very hard to give me a bad experience. Let’s just say this was the worst part of my vacation.

The owner chased me down outside after simply asking one of the waiters who the owner was. I had just written my review outside the establishment not bothering anyone. He came up to me asking why I would write such things. I stated I gave my honest feeling based off my service. He started claiming he was short handed and that he works very hard to maintain his reputation. Reading down many other reviews I do agree with others that stated these are bought reviews by the owner. He claimed to be refunding my entire ticket to rethink my review. This made me very uncomfortable as I was just standing near my car when he approached/called me over. No refund was done for my card.

I...

I absolutely loved my experience here! Amazing blends of spices within the breakfast. I ordered the Crab Benedict and Toast. 10/10. Even the coffee tasted good. The Caribbean music added a nice touch to the ambience. Everyone was warm and welcoming. I look forward to returning soon!
