Marshalls — Attraction in Doraville

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This store is prejudice and racist. If you are a person of color or a black woman I would not recommend this store/ location. My last shopping experience was horrible. As I am browsing, the custodian proceeds to start sweeping on the same aisle I was on. He gets closer and closer to the point that he swept dust and dirt all over my feet! In shock, I stepped back and asked if I was in his way. The custodian replied yes I need to get over there (pointing to across the aisle.) There was no apology, no excuse me, no acknowledgement or regard for what he had just done. Shaken up by what just happened, I moved to the other aisle. During checkout, I asked to speak with a manager. After explaining to her what happened she looked at me like a deer in headlights and I was told “ok I’ll talk to him.” I left feeling unseen, disregarded and disrespected as a long time customer. I called corporate the next day and was told that I would receive an apology from the manager. I am not interested in receiving an empty apology as an attempt to sweep things under the rug. Cashier was very rude and yelled at my sister and I because we were in the middle of the aisle. I was being unaware by not watching my surroundings and cart for a few seconds, but she didn’t have to repeat it multiple times and raise her voice at us like we’re children. She rudely told my sister and I to exit the checkout aisle more than once while my mother checked out. I told her I wasn’t leaving and to calm down. I couldn’t leave my mother because I was there to translate/pay in case she needed me. My sister couldn’t leave either because she was going to check out after my mother. She kept giving my sister ugly looks as she proceeded to smack her gum and mumbled slurs under her breath. I work in customer service, I deal with lots of people. I was in the Marshall’s by the dog toy section and out of no where I hear loud farts then it starts to smell very bad. I ofc start laughing because it was funny to me. Then I see the manager come out the bathroom. She had red hair. We went to marshalls to buy baby clothes and I found a onesie that had no price. I really liked it. I was ready to pay. I went up to the register. The cashier was very very nice! She said it could’ve cost $3.99 but instead the manager wanted it to be $9.99. In my opinion, I think it’s ridiculous for a onesie to be $9.
