El paisano Mexican restaurant & Taqueria — Restaurant in Doraville

This is the 2nd time we have been there and we won't be back. I will preface this by saying we were a party of 10 at 1:15 on a Friday afternoon with no one else in the restaurant. We thought the first time was a one off, but no. It is actually how the restaurant is. Where to start? Their cooler must be broken because all the soft drinks and waters were like warm at best. The alcoholic beverages left much to be desired. Both of the micheladas 2 people in our party ordered were watery and the tequila sunrise was salty? How does that even happen? 2nd, we ordered chips and queso for the table. It came out with the rest of the food, on a plate, like nachos and the queso and chips were cold. One person in our party ordered ceviche, one ordered milanesa, one ordered grilled chicken and one person ordered a steak quesadilla (keep this in mind, I'll bring it up again) everyone else's food comes out in minutes. The server tells us they're out of grilled chicken? Ok, ordered something else. Goes back and brings that out. Then they're out of the steak quesadilla (I didn't hear this but they ordered something else). Brings it out and look at that! They're out of ceviche and milanesa. Instead of the ceviche they decided to ask for a steak quesadilla (which she didn't know they were out of when she ordered it) and she miraculously came back with a steak quesadilla! All the food was ice cold! The quesadillas didn't even look like they had seen a grill. Literally shredded cheese folded in a tortilla. To top it off they put gratuity on the bill, so she got a $40 tip that wasn't even deserved because we sat for 30 minutes before she even came to get a drink order. Look elsewhere when looking for Mexican food because this place...

It’s really sad to see the downfall of this place. Use to love it. They had Great food and great prices but both don’t exist anymore. The experience I just had is the reason I will NEVER go back to this place. I ordered two tortas that normally come with fries. The first thing is they raised their price of them by $2 from $8 to $10.29. The second thing was, When I got home there were no fries with the sandwiches and when I called to asked if they’re not included anymore they said “No we just didn’t have anymore” so I said “Yall could have told me that when I was there” then they responded in a condescending way “Sorry I forgot”. They offered me beans or rice if I came back. When I got back, the girl who answered the phone just gave off a weird feeling, like she was annoyed and that I was inconveniencing her for coming back. Then another girl came out in what seem like an attempt to tell me something along the lines that they weren’t going to give me anything to substitute for both having the fries, but the other girl stopped her and they started talking in Spanish about me in front of me then the other left. The girl who offered me the rice and beans gave them to me but both were really bad, tasted old and sour. The customer service has always lacked here. They go through so many waitresses and none of them know how to treat guest. This, along with them increasing the prices every time you step foot in the store, will be why they’ll lose a lot...

We had dinner here with my family and my family were very disappointed that they took 18% of tip. The problem is not the tip the problem it that they expect to get tipped for a horrible service… They weren't particularly rude, but they were not hosting properly. Also I wondered why it looked so empty but now I know why… there tip and there horrible service…First time and last time visiting this restaurant…I ALSO SPOKE TO THE MANAGER AND HIS RESPONSE WAS IM SORRY THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO BECAUSE THE FOOD DIDNT GET TO THE TABLE ON ITS OWN…..I UNDERSTAND ALLL THAT BUT THE FACT THAT I HAD TO WAITE TILL MY HUSBAND WAS DONE SO I CAN USE HIS FORK IS RIDICULES…..
