We actually went to the Chinese Buffet. I've always called it the Dragon Buffet, I have no idea why now. It has been in the same spot for many years. I used to take my children there years ago. Now they can drive themselves and pay for their own families, right? When you walk into the front door, there used to be a fountain with a waterfall and koi; It was beautiful and of course you would see lots of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters in the crystal clear water where you would make your wish. Now it's empty with deposits of something all over it and is a true eyesore when you hungry and ready to dig in to delicious food. John ALWAYS goes straight to the seafood...by the time I'm finished my first plate of salad, he's finishing up plate #2 of seafood and heading back for more! No, I have never tried to keep up with him. My second plate usually consists of lo mien, various chicken dishes and wontons. The best have a crab mixture in them, but this day it was a cream cheese...still delicious. I always get my egg drop soup before it coagulates into egg strips (go figure) and a small bowl of sweet & sour sauce to dip my egg rolls. Third plate has even less food on it for me, because of the prior two, but I still have room for a mini-éclair, flan, banana slices drizzled under a cherry/strawberry glaze and chocolate pudding which I dip my banana slices in. With that I usually close with a zebra ice cream bowl. No fillers like gummy bears, sprinkles, etc. Maybe a drizzle of chocolate over the top or even better when they have strawberry and/or caramel drizzle...yummy, yummy yummy in my full full tummy. If they have a military discount, I don't know about it. But wouldn't it be a pleasure to honor our military by having one. Even 10% would be a winner in my book. When John and I roll out the door, we always go walking at the nearby Dover Mall, so I can feel not so guilty for making sure I get my money's worth. John usually has four or five plates of the seafood...he definitely...
Read moreWhile I like the storesxin this plaza (Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's, Poke Bros, Coldstone, TJ Maxx - to name a few), there is a problem with panhandling and homeless people sleeping in front of these buildings. The homeless person, who was there every time I visited in December (4 times, at least). Not sure if the person who panhandled was the same person, but they came right up to my car window and knocked to ask for money. I have nothing against homeless people or peoe less fortunate, and help when I can, but when someone I don't know, especially a man, comes up to my car window, essentially trapping me inside (car off, keys put away because I was about to get out), it makes me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I don't know that person, and it's in very poor judgment to approach a...
