Read moreLovely mini golf experience for a good time out with the family. Our son who is under five years, got his own golf club and ball. He loved this. You can choose from the Adventure or (I think) Challenging Courses. The only reason for the reduction in stars is that the cashier when we asked the difference between the two courses, rolled her eyes as if we should know, and in response to our query just repeated the names of the courses. As non-golf players we truly didn't know the difference and are no less knowledgeable having gone through the course. If you're offering different packages to the public, the least you can do is have customer reps be able to explain! And not rudely too!
Aside from that unpleasant interaction with the staff, the golf course itself is scenic and enjoyable. It is, as the name suggests, pirate ⚓ themed. There are endless relics throughout the course and at each hole, representing pirate life, and interesting "real life" pirate stories affixed to mini boards/posts. The attention to detail is noticed and appreciated. There is also a beautiful pond and waterfalls in the course that add to the scenery. There weren't any crowds which added to our enjoyment overall since we didn't feel rushed. We also very much appreciated that we were able to get a rain check to return (from another staff member who was friendly and assistive) since it started to rain about a quarter way into our game. The staff member that was kind to us, even gave our son a lovely little pirate hat and flag at the end! He loved it and it capped a great family night out at the golf course!!
Overall, GREAT family fun and would recommend!! Only suggestion to management is to make sure ALL staff are properly versed in customer service because some customers, unlike we did, will leave and not recommend what is in fact, a great and...
Read moreGolf course was great, but our experience was totally soured by the attitude of the lady on the front desk.
We went with a party of 9 adults and 2 very young children. Initially, we had agreed that the children would follow us around the course, but not be playing, so we would not have pay a fee for the children.
As we started, of course, the children wanted to join in, but given that they're young children and don't have the attention span to properly play with the group, they just wanted to hit a random shot every now and then.
Rather than just let them do this, given that we'd already explained that the children wouldn't be playing, we didn't want to seem rude and allow them to hit a shot now and then, so we thought it would be the courteous thing to do to at least offer to pay for an extra person to cover the 5 or 6 shots in total that the children would want to hit.
Unfortunately, the lady at the front desk was very rude about this, sternly and abruptly insisting that "we have already discussed this". She then proceeded to follow us onto the course to shout at us in front of other players, asking us to move off the first hole to allow the next group of players to begin, despite us telling her that the second hole was occupied by other players and we couldn't move on.
Really put a downer on the groups environment, and spoiled what had the potential to be a very enjoyable evening with family.
Not family friendly whatsoever and won't be returning unfortunately.
The young children still took their random 5 or 6 shots anyway, so the business just lost out on the money, and spoiled the atmosphere for the adults.
The first bad review I've ever felt compelled to...
