Upon entering into this restaurant I was completely underwhelmed by the lack of fine dining design and ambiance. It looked more like a school cafeteria and as much as everything looked cheap. We had never been there before but I went with 3 other people who were very eager to try the restaurant and after doing so we all unanimously decided that we would never ever ever go to this restaurant again. Here are just a few reasons I you should strongly consider not going to this restaurant if you're looking for fine dining it is most definitely not that. Sure you can get as many lobsters as you are wanting to but you have to clean them all in addition to most people only eat 1 or 2 if that and the rest of the buffet is filled with food that has been sitting and it's bacteria filled goop. I had to order some food freshly cooked in order to even eat anything at this place. A fine dining experience buffet would be more so classified by visiting a restaurant like Texas de Brazil Which is worth every penny you spend. They serve cheap heavily breaded shrimp in addition to a poor excuse of a crab cake which is heavily breaded with barely any crab in it in addition to Soggy Calamari. They wanted me to pay $25 for 5 pieces of flats wings which I could not stop laughing about. The server Performed minimally only bringing over our initial drinks with no refill service or attention to our table as dirty plates will beginning to pile up and this on top of the fact that the restaurant was not busy at all. At the end of The Visit the bill came over and as I suspected it was $300 and they have the audacity to try and charge as a gratuity which was $50 additional tip to a server who just simply poured us a drink and never came back to our table on their own without being called to clear plates etc. The people who are raving about this restaurant are clearly tourists coming over from other countries and far places who think that this is a luxury but it's not for the standard Floridian. This was a experience we will not soon replicate anywhere else. And by the way, I added this portion of the complaint after the owner stated that my accounting of our visit to his pathetic excuse of a seafood restaurant, was incorrect. Far from it Mr. Owner. As a matter of fact, I and others complained about the experience while we were there to one of your managers named Isaias. I also called back a couple of days later to complain about the experience and spoke to an Asan who acted very unintelligent and dimwitted on the phone, yet took my number and said he would look into my claim and call me back promptly! Its been a few days now, NO CALL BACK from Asan, let alone, YOU, owner. Stop acting shocked about this complaint. I highly doubt its the first or the last, however, many ppl are passive and choose to write off the experience and never go back, however for $300 plus loss, its worth, SCREAMING FROM THE MOUNTAIN PEAK. Don't try to invalidate our experience and claim. You are barking up the wrong tree. And as far as 'not knowing what to say', you could deeply apologize for this atrocious experience at YOUR restaurant and not...
Read moreFood on Buffet is good. Lobster is pretty good but some are very tough, so I'm assuming they are overcooked. The lines are crazy for the buffet and you have to wait in line every time and go through the entire buffet selections just to get to the lobster at the very end even if your ONLY getting lobster. I feel they need to change that but I also feel they do that on purpose hoping people will grab other items to fill up on along the way or just grow tired of the wait and settle for otter items. Be forewarned the dessert section of the buffet isn't worth your time or money paid, it is nasty! I only would recommend having the key lime pie squares and the pecan pie squares. I've tried every dessert and every thing else is gross đ. With all the major price increases, in my opinion, not really worth it anymore. And I love lobster and snow crab. If you do it for the snow crab mostly then it may be still worth it since your not limited to how much you get every time you go up for more whereas the lobster you are only allowed one (and they are small) per person each time you go up to get more from the buffet. Don't expect to get out the door for less then $150 for two people if you don't have a special coupon or discount (and that's with only selecting water to á¸rink) as they no longer run early bird specials and it now has gone up to $64.95 per person. You can however get the best discount once per year during the week of your birthday and a few other discounts during the year by joining their free club via their website and entering your email and birthdate but be sure to do this at least a month or two before your birthday to ensure your registration takes effect in time. They have several locations but Orlando is still the best one food as well as atmosphere. And last but perhaps most importantly you DO NOT want to be seated anywhere along the outer perimeters of the layout unless your on the left side of the restaurant when coming into the main entrance or the middle because any other spot will guarantee you to have people lined up for the buffet just beside the entrance to your booth thus blocking you from getting in and out with ease and creating the ever so present and extreme lack of personal space and any form of privacy while you Dine and or people beside you watching you eat while they are waiting to be seated (bar area which also has a dining area and is ever so inconveniently placed just beside the main entrance where people pack in waiting to be seated which can be a minimum of 30 minutes). You're...
Read more153$ worth of advice. So this was my 3rd time dining at the location via international drive. Glad to see it still there or so I thought, here goes: we were seated on the section closets to the windows 3rd booth from the front window side, I sat for all most ten mins before finally getting up and just going to fix a plate, no one approached or offered to give us bib's ask us if we were new, did we know how to crack the shells.. My friend made her way to the table and then a male waiter probably had pity on us approached and finally took our drink orders. My dinner consisted of crab cakes, no seasoning so you got the real crab taste but no other seasoning. The lobster which was a female (eggs included) was very salty tasting not like they came from the sea, but they over boil in the dead sea type water, and was VERY rubbery. The crab legs tasted the same, and they barely had any meat in them. The seasoned potato's looked like they had season for decoration only, very bland tasting but hey at least they were done, right? The Hush puppies were moist but AGAIN NO TASTE. WHAT WAS GOOD: the fried clams and the panko fried shrimp amazing! Lets just say I did not return for the Rubber Lobster, or the Meatless over salty crab legs. So I ate my share in the clams and the shrimp. They had a seafood Gumbo, 1st of all there was NO SEAFOOD in there and all I saw was rice and tiny tiny pieces of what might have been Okra but not sure and again very bland. No Rolls and the butter in the little dishes one or two of them had begun to harden. The waiter was taking plates before we could finish I saw my friend having to finish the last bit of what she was eating while he was reaching. I ordered ice water but didn't get a refill once while my friend had about three refills. Yes I could have asked but aren't they supposed to ask us? Lastly the little hand towels. I was given two packet both were dried out so it was a relief when I was given more that seemed to be good.. For the amount I paid 153 and some change OLD BAY seasoning should be present on the table with the salt and pepper and lay off the salt boils because it does something to the meat Thats my take on this place. Unfortunately I will not return for a 4th time. I had hoped that these things would have been corrected. So if you're looking at going, you can test the waters but don't get upset if its not what you wanted. NOT worth 153 for two...
