0 rating!!! I had to give it 1 because otherwise it wouldn't let me post. The restaurant was dirty and stinky. And in need of renovation. It was nit maintained at all. I was expecting better at an Orlando restaurant thinking it is a tourist city. Dirty Broken down empty shelves on the side of the kitchen. We were a party of 18. The waiter was so flustered because he thought our party was too big. He had trouble seating us. After we were seated, the manager came along and was even more flustered than the waiter. He said you r a big party. You should've called ahead of time. He told us we shouldn't order more than 4 dishes because they are not prepared for us. After we ordered, they brought tap water in big glasses and the customer service was 0. The waiter kind of threw the glasses in front of us and left. It was like they wanted us to do them a favour by getting up and leave. The food was an even bigger disapoinment. The tikka chicken plate was not anything like I had ever seen before. It was a plate of reheated frozen tikkas topped with soft onions. Even our kids could tell it was old chicken. We had also ordered for mild spice but they brought extremely spicy food. When we complained, the manager totally disregarded it. The naan were cold. Like they had came out of the freezer and were not warmed up properly. The other 3 chicken dishes we had ordered looked exactly the same and tasted exactly the same. The waiter couldn't even tell them apart himself. When we asked him which one is jalfrezi, he pointed at 1 and said I think its this one. Extremely expensive! 0 customer service. 0 taste. When we talked to the manager about our concerns. He disregarded our complaints. Terrible! We wasted our money. No one ate anything. Because it was way too spicy and the naan were cold and frozen. The kids only had a bit of plain rice because they were the only fresh item on our table. The rest was reheated and old. And they charged us $200 for 4 plates of chicken 10 naan and 4 rice plates. Which no one ate. We left 90% of the food untouched on the...
Read moreIf you're looking for genuinely delicious Indian food in the I-Drive / Universal area - this is the place to go! I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted - I basically told him I was stuck choosing between chicken tikka masala and a biryani (my favorite traditional meal) - and after a polite conversation with the owner, he knew exactly what to do! After prompt delivery of a tasty Taj Mahal beer and some fresh garlic naan, out walks this BEAUTY of a sunset-colored biryani - and you could smell that tikka masala influence before it even got to the table! Aside from how amazing it looked and smelled, I could not have asked for a better blend of my two favorite Indian dishes. The spice level was perfect, the chicken was tender, and the aroma was just shy of intoxicating - and on a side note the consistency of their raita is perfect, not too runny!! Apart from the amazing cuisine I was about to indulge myself in, the service was awesome. From the owner down to the kitchen staff, everybody was so kind and so accommodating! On the way out, the owner caught me and told me to wait - he rushed back inside and grabbed a bottle of water for me, saying it was necessary for me to have water to accompany my leftovers. In a world of tired and burnt out restaurant staff, you don't see an act of service like that too often anymore and I'm very grateful for that consideration!
Bottom line, if you're in Orlando and you're on the prowl for some good food - PLEASE make the trip, you...
Read moreTHE WAITER ATE OUR PLATES!!!! MOST HORRIBLE RESTAURANT EVER, this restaurant is a disgrace to the Indian community. We went a while ago and had loved their food, going back again last week we noticed the management had changed, we didn’t mind hoping the food is the same. Despite the fact that the menu was super short, the quantity and quality wasn’t worth the the price. We decided to order chicken pakora as an appetizer, all we got was the fried batter, NO CHICKEN AT ALL, it also wasn’t cooked. The waiter kept telling us to get a chicken balti/karahi so we tried it and got a channa masala. The food tasted horrible, even frozen food tastes better, the chicken balti tasted like tomato paste? Anyways the food ended up giving my whole family a very bad stomach ache. As we left the restaurant the WAITER ATE FROM OUR PLATES!!! We were so disgusted seeing that, we had just sat in the car and he was eating our leftovers?! No wonder this restaurant is always empty and smells horrible now days. The department of health regulations needs to close them down. And if the owner is reading this I’m the same person you had said “your a local for us” since we were visiting from Miami. PLEASE SAVE YOU MONEY, TIME AND HEALTH BY GOIMG ANYWHEREE ELSE. Most definitely will be reporting them to the department of health!!!!
This is for my Indian friends, the waiter supposed we eat beef and told us they can make any beef item for us. And they said they hide it and if we like they car...
