I just left this establishment. I was killing time because I was waiting for a specific store to open at 11am. I had gel and jewels on my nails. I told and asked the front desk lady if it was possible to have my gel/jewels removed and a regular manicure without an appointment and she said yes. She gave me a quote of $35 dollars that included removal and a regular manicure. I agreed to that price. She immediately assigns me to a woman named “Suzie” who did not hide her reluctance to take me. Both Suzie and the front desk lady exchanged some words and Suzie took me. I showed Suzie my nails and she was not happy. She tried to remove the jewels from nails with the cuticle cutter and pulled hard multiple times. I exclaimed that this hurt and she ignored me as she did this on every finger. She then pulls out the electric nail filer and she burned me multiple times and, yet again I exclaimed this and was ignored. I had to pull my hand away for her to stop. She then began pulling and twisting my fingers roughly and I didn’t say anything until she got to my last finger and I said “you know my finger does not turn that way” her reply “WO?!” She spoke English BTW I don’t understand why she replied in Korean. She then told me to pick a nail polish and as I went to look at the shades of pink, I debated if I wanted to continue with her. I did not so I told her I don’t need a manicure and that the removal was enough. She slightly panicked and tried to convince me to stay to finish the job and clean my hands, I said no. She immediately voices to now a man standing at the front desk that is 30 dollars. I was going to fight it but I wanted to leave after I saw disinfect the chair I was sitting in. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE because of Suzie. She clearly hates being there or work.
I’m a good tipper and I did not leave Suzie anything. I just walked out...
Read moreMmm... a definite nogo for me. I have been to many different nail salons in Florida, New York, and all over New Jersey. While the location is nice and has plenty of parking, it all comes down to the quality of service service service. I did not like how the employees of the salon kept talking to each other in Korean in front of customers. In my opinion, I think you should always speak in English especially when you're working with a customer. I see the ladies working with customers and constantly speaking with their neighboring co-worker, which I think is very unprofessional.
Next, if I'm paying $25 for a pedicure, I expect the service to be at least 25-30 mins; it was finished in 18-20 mins. Pedicure foot massage was very rushed. I'm not expecting a long massage, but even for a short massage that's included in the pedicure, please, do it right or do not do it at all and lower your price, if anything.
The polish job is poor; not a big deal getting it on my skin as long as you clean it off (this is normal and I get that it can always happen, but the technicians should have the experience and THE EYES to see it and clean it off; it's on 5 of 10 of my toes).
Some good things that I can still say would be that they have a great selection of polish, the space is larger than it seems, and the technicians are friendly.
Whoever is reading this review, you do not need to agree with my personal thoughts. I just wanted to leave my review based on what I experienced, and I get that we all have different opinions. If this helps others, great! If not, please, by all...
Read moreI went to a place I’ve been to many times before for manicures and pedicures. I didn’t make an appointment, I just walked in because there’s usually availability on weekdays. This time they assigned me to someone I hadn’t had before.
The entire manicure was very painful. You can see in the photo how red the tops of my fingers were. The bottom part of my nails wasn’t filed properly — they weren’t even. Despite that, she really hurt me at the end. I didn’t want to give her my hand anymore because it was painful. She even tried to remove some dried skin with her bare hands several times. Eventually, I said, “Please, that’s enough,” and I left.
When I was leaving, they asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Of course, I didn’t. I asked if this person was new, and why they hadn’t told me. They said she wasn’t new. Then they just told me to make an appointment next time.
At the very least, they could have said something like, “We’re sorry you didn’t leave as happy as before.” But the response I got from the man at the reception was very disrespectful. I was already in pain, and on top of that, his attitude and the way he looked at me were completely inappropriate and unpleasant At the very least, they could learn from...
