Gehman Jewelers — Attraction in Ephrata

Don't go here! I don't live locally in Ephrata anymore but I am passing through for a few weeks, and took a few watches to get the bracelets sized to my wrist. I walk in and before I say anything the main lady said "oh looks like we got some Invicta watches" in a snobby tone. Now any watch person knows Invicta does not have a great reputation in the watch world, but what would it matter if I did? You're going to shame a customer walking in for the watch he brought in to have sized? The watches were still in their boxes as I had them shipped here, one is a Christopher Ward, and one is a Sangin, both smaller brands but respectable watch companies if you knew what you were talking about. Then she said she hadn't heard of them (in a snooty tone again). Which is fine if you haven't but still rude, she started to size one of the bracelets and took a few links out, but couldn't get the bracelet back into lugs to reattach it to the watch. By this time I had enough and just told her to give me my watch and walked out. Would not recommend this rude...

Very friendly and experienced staff! Had a watch bracelet resized after I couldnt get it after five days of trying. It requires one side of the screws to be held in for the other side to be unscrewed, and they were able to get it done for me with no charge! Definitely recommend, amazing place.

Edit to add on that they had a Seiko 5 SSK001 GMT in stock, which I've been after since it's release but could never find in stock anywhere. They were happy to sell it to me, and set up a payment plan and even resize it for me for free. They've certainly made a customer out of me, and this will be the first place I check for any watches I plan to buy in...

I visited to see if I could get a broken necklace repaired. I'd lost one link. It was only costume jewelry, so I didn't know if the lovely staff would be willing to work on it. The helpful lady who assisted me not only was willing to work on it...she fixed it gratis! I browsed a while and found a gorgeous pair of earrings to earmark as a potential purchase for a future moment....or perhaps a birthday gift from my husband. He's always happy to have ideas, whether he goes with them or not. I'll return based on the attentive and welcoming staff as well as the beautiful goods...
