Redner's Warehouse Markets — Attraction in Ephrata

My husband bought hippey bologna on 7/3 and upon cutting it up said it didn't taste right. On 7/9 we needed distilled water so while we were there he decided to buy another one thinking it couldn't happen again, well it did. Upon calling redners to notify them I spoke with someone in customer service that was very friendly whom than transferred me to the deli manager. The deli manager came off as rude and just not the professional she should be as she's never had hippey bologna apparently and when she fills it, it flys off the shelf and because the date was good on ours she didn't know what we could do unless the store manager issues a refund or we contact hippey directly. Really? So today I went in and was given the refund without question but just dealt with rude staff. We will just do our shopping at Weis or Giant...

Best slab bacon in town. Ok Google wants an update. So how to cook slab bacon. You can't just throw in pan and fry. ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!

1ST. Ok first thing I recommend using a 10 to 12 inch cast iron pan , not sure how well this works in a traditional frying pan (IT'S A LOT OF HEAT) ANY WHO. 2ND use either frozen or thawed slab bacon (fatter the better), (doctor hasn't killed my diet yet). For regular grocery shopping I think this store is good. Nothing spectacular but mediocre. However the service I received when I ordered 2 cakes at the bakery was NOT good. I put an order in for 2 cakes to be picked up on a Sunday at noon. I showed up at 12:05 pm and the cakes were not scheduled to be finished until 3pm. The baker did get the cakes done by 1pm, so I appreciate that. But the guy who took my cake order wrote it down incorrectly. Secondly, I got the cakes, and the dinosaur cake for my son was supposed to be red… it was pink. I asked the manager for a discount & he gave me $20 off of my $40 cake… he wasn’t very apologetic & really just seemed like I was annoying him. So I didn’t fight it anymore.
