Itâs gross how APPLE and BEST BUY treats the customers who have already bought their products.
I originally walked into the Apple Store looking for AirPods because AirPods have a feature where you can use them as a hearing aid, and this has been greatly beneficial for me. A hearing aid at a lot less price of anything else and it comes with other functionality.
When I had to track down one of the âsales agentsâ I was informed that buying the AirPods at the Apple Store comes with a 25% markup and it would be a lot cheaper to buy them at Best Buy. While I greatly appreciate the info on how to save money from the worker. It is gross that this is what we will pay to buy things directly from Apple. I donât have anything against the workers who work at this store they are simply doing what they have to do to make money, and I am fully aware and I am in the same spot.
I truly think it is just gross and pathetic that such a big corporation like Apple can continue to get away with this.
So I went over to Best Buy and I purchased the AirPods over there. They were about $70 cheaper than what I wouldâve spent at the Apple Store. I walk back to my car and I realized that I was sold a broken pair of AirPods, not only are these going to be my day to day headphones but also they will aid me to hear.
I went back to Best Buy where I was informed by the âgeek barâ to go to the Apple Store and talk to the people at the âgenius barâ.
What stupid names to label your customer service as.
I wet back over to the Apple Store thinking that maybe the guy at the geek bar was right. And that maybe the Apple Store just needed to update the software on them or something.
After chatting with a worker at the Apple Store I was signed up to join the queue where I will have to wait an estimated 3 hours to get any kind of service. Keep in mind, these are BRAND NEW out of the box AirPods. So I just paid $210 for a broken pair of AirPods, yes the audio and playing music worked but that is not the reason I decided to spend that kind of money on an Apple product. I simply needed a cheap alternative to prescription hearing aids.
After joining the queue where I would have to stay around until they are ready to actually service what I need. I decided I just wanted to either exchange or return the AirPods, I figured itâs not worth it to go through all of this struggle.
I go back to Best Buy and I demand they either exchange or return the broken pair they sold me. I say the word âdemandâ in a sense that I had to be very persistent with what I needed. It was really hard to get any of these workers from the Apple Store or Best Buy to do their jobs the way they are supposed to be done.
Iâm not upset at any of the workers, because they were all very kind and understanding and even talked louder and more clearly when I explained I was hard of hearing.
I have nothing but respect for all of the employees and individuals who helped me out. At the end of the day they are just doing their jobs.
I am absolutely disgusted by how Apple and Best Buy systems work.
Why should I have to go get a brand new pair of AirPods serviced, when I couldâve just had them exchanged for working ones??
Both of these big corporate companies are sad and pathetic. They do not sell anything out of the interest in actually benefiting anyone but themselves and the people on the top making all of the money.
If any employees read this, Iâm really grateful for all that you do and give back to society.
Thank you for your time and efforts. You will be rewarded with good karma.
But we as a society cannot let these big greedy corporate companies have this much control. Over not just the employees but the customers.
I wasted half of my day trying to get a stupid pair of AirPods to work when I was simply sold a broken pair.
Not to mention I donât exactly have a lot of gas money so I was walking to and from the Apple Store every-time I was sent to either one.
What a big waste of time and resources these big greedy companies are.
Thank you...
Read moreI go onto the Best Buy website to look at TVs and find the one I want to purchase being the Samsung Q8FN. I see the price on the site is $1300. I see I could order the TV and deliver it, or the closest pickup is in Farmington being 35 miles away from me. I decided to look at other retailers in the area to see if any other stores in the Salt Lake valley had this for sale. Unfortunately the stores either did not carry this model, or were also sold out. Having an Amazon account I figured I would at least see what they would offer and also the shipping time for the TV. I find the TV and to my surprise the price is $1140 and it is offering Prime two day shipping to arrive on Wednesday. I debated if I wanted to ship this TV and figure out the drop-off location or if I would check to see if Best Buy would match the price. I decided for the deal being as good as it was I would call Best Buy and see what they had to say. I called this location and was put in touch with Matt to see availability. I asked first if the store actually had this TV in stock as there was only one in stock on the site, and secondly if they would match this price. I gave the explicit detail that I would like this deal to be looked at and confirm this will be matched and there is not any hidden things that would prohibit this. I waited patiently for around 30 seconds as I assumed Matt was pulling up this deal and was told, "Yep we should be able to do that for you, no problem." I said thank you, got ready, and left for the store. When getting there around an hour later I went straight to the TV section and asked for specific model. They grabbed the TV and told me to follow them over to a register. I brought up that I had spoke to Matt for this and was told that I could have my price match for this from Amazon. I hand my phone over and the kid scrolls through it and says, "Oh, it looks like this is fulfilled by Amazon but it is sold by another distribution company so I can't honor this." I bring up the fact that I spoke with Matt about this an hour ago and specifically made sure this was eligible. He called over this manager, Stetson, who looked at this and said he'll look at what he can do. He spends 5 minutes clicking around on his computer for who knows what, then says sorry we can't honor this. I explain once again this is absurd in the fact that I was promised this and now cannot be honored. He offers for us to call Matt over and see what he says on this. I ask what good that will do and if they will match it after? He says that they cannot offer this deal but we can talk to Matt about this. I stand here and laugh thinking what good will that do that this employee is publicly scolded in front of the customer and think this will solve the issue? The logic here is that me scrutinizing this employee will somehow make me feel better about the situation? I tell him it's not worth my time waiting to have him publicly shame his employee as I still see no change in their decision. I drove 70 miles round trip and wasted over two hours of my time for a lost cause. I ordered the TV through Amazon and after this incident, further cements the thought that Best Buy is no longer the friendly customer service, customer first establishment...
Read moreDo not buy anything from this store. They do not honor Samsung WARRANTEES and will not provide a local number to talk to a manager.
One month ago, i bought a Samsung Classic watch 4 from the Farmington best buy. I have the receipt. Yesterday, the bezel broke and my wife took the watch back to best buy for a replacement. The floor kid told her they cannot honor the Samsung warrantee for a $400.00 watch because she did not buy a geek squad warrantee.
I do not need a geek squad warrantee to have the store repair or replace the watch. Samsung told me to take the watch back and demand warrantee replacement. Best Buy will not do this. They told me that they cannot replace a $400.00 classic 4 watch, with no other explanation. They simply don't care about customer service. Sergio was there. He's listed in other complaints.
This is terrible customer service. What kind of company, does not honor a national warrantee for Samsung watches? I will never buy geek squad extended warrantee and I never have.
Best Buy National will not even give me a phone number to the local store manager before I go into the store and start pursuing the issue on the store floor.
Do not buy from this store. Do not buy from a store that does not value a $400.00 purchase and simply replace the watch with one that works. I am livid at the treatment my wife just recieved and will now go to the store to deal with it there.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE.
Edit These people turned my wife away when she tried to return the watch. The above is what happened to her.
I have had heart failure, so I got dressed, went into the store, demanded a warrantee replacement, and got it on the spot.
They manipulate the women, and met my demands for a replacement immediately. No issues for me.
That's uncool. Because I got my replacement, I raised my stars from 1 to...
