Greg.
Without a doubt the strangest and rudest interaction I have ever had in a retail environment. Do not patronize this Gamestop.
I walked in and grabbed a game off the shelf. An associate named Greg rudely told me those are display games- obviously because they dont have price tags and there are several of them- and I have to get one behind the counter. Stupid me... I continue to browse and brush off this awkward, impolite greeting.
When I go to check out Greg starts his rehearsed pitch about a gamestop membership. As he begins I casually tell him no thanks, I am not interested- something many normal people do when asked about memberships during checkout.
Instead of checking me out, Greg gets angry with me and tells me that it his job to pitch a membership and that I should have let him do his job. I tell him I am not interested, no need to try and upsell me. He furiosly insists that it is HIS JOB- and I am wrong for interrupting him. I should let him do his job. Amid my confusion Greg tells me that I am being rude and interrupting him, and that he will not sell me the game because of that. What??
I thought it was a joke... and was dumbfounded for a moment. Getting furious and refusing service simply because a customer is not interested and brushed off a sales pitch.
This associate is clearly unhappy with something in his life and uses his authority as a Gamestop associate to exercise authority over customers. His reaction and treatment of customers is unfathomable and I would advise anyone in Gamsetop management to have Greg in a position that is far away from customer interaction.
Greg lost your store over $100 in a very easy sale. Given his attitude and generally offputting demeanor I expect this is not the first time.
I will not be returning and highly advise anyone considering this Gamestop to...

I waited in line for 15 minutes. Was not upset at all by the wait. That was okay.
I get to the counter and give my info for power up rewards. The employee enters in the info wrong and I don't get my 10% off. Okay. Void transaction start over. Still no big deal.
What ticked me off is when the employee rings the items up. Two were priced wrong. So now my price is gonna be a mystery. The manager at the time refuses to change the price to reflect the advertised price.
If that was all that went wrong I wouldn't complain. That wasn't it....
I pay for the items even though I disagreed on price. I get home. Guess what...? The employee forgot to put the games in the cases. I get home and paid 80 bucks for some empty cases.
So I call. The employee answering the phone laughs like her job is a joke when she answers. Non professional. I inform them that the games were not in my cases. "Oh we have them here."
No apology. Nothing. Now I have to drive back to a Gamestop I don't live near (I was visiting the area) an hour away to pick up Gamestops mistake.
I will get my games. I will NEVER go back to that location. The Gamestop near me (in Shelbyville) does a great job. This one... laughably discusting.

Read moreI bought NBA 2k22 Legendary Edition for Xbox series X and I paid for a GameStop Pro account. The Legendary edition comes with a digital voucher for Xbox One version. The voucher didn’t work. I asked a younger thin guy with glasses and patchy hair in the front for help getting the voucher to work. He barked sternly “You’re going to have to call customer service Sir.” He talks down to you but remembers to say “Sir” Plus, I was promised a 10 dollar coupon for signing up to pro. That didn’t happen either. I feel like they stole my money and he’s happy about it. Again, call customer service. The reason I support brick and mortar stores is for customer service. I won’t be back at this...
