Had to stay here twice due to necessity. Both times for approximately 3 months. Had to have assistance to pay for and keep room due to financial circumstances. Every night we stayed there was covered. We were treated like something on the bottom of a shoe by some of the staff and it got worse as time went by. The rooms, even the "remodeled" ones are in pay by the hour condition for the most part. Carpets stained, hair and mold in showers when you check in, beds hard, curtains don't close, hookers and drug dealers doing business very openly without a word being said by owners or managers, bed bugs in some rooms, overdoses and bodies brought out of others (217 around a month ago that I saw myself), the few good employees treated like crap while the others are hired-promoted-praised very quickly even when they don't know how to do their job, very little English understood by housekeeping and most of them not worth what they are being paid, new managers have no clue and can't seem to agree on anything, you hear different things from each one. One morning male worker in particular will lie to you about why they will not renew your room. Derby weekend is coming up and those of us who are in King rooms and/or weekly would have to check out by the 30th. OK. I could deal with that. I had around 2 weeks to make arrangements. But wait...this only applies to certain people apparently. Then, while broke down where I couldn't get to the motel, I had to make a one night payment over the phone. I could not make the payment for the next few nights after that until my wife got her next paycheck. She got a ride to the motel and emptied out our room without being asked to and had to sit and wait all afternoon fora ride back with everything. Several days later we returned and rented a room for the night. When she went to pay this morning, she was told that they would not renew the room and that it had been rented to us by mistake. The employee that rented us the room was not aware that we were now on the do not rent list and had now been informed of this. That was a lie. The lists were checked before he rented us the room. We were not allowed to speak to the GM and were told to leave. Tari is the GM. She will act like she will help you, and she did for a while, but once the new desk manager Sonny was hired, he seems to be making the decisions although he has no idea what he is doing. The housekeeping manager, Peanut, is not a friendly person unless you are male and even then will try to cause you problems if she doesn't like you. 2 of the many housekeepers are great, the rest don't do their job. The rest of the desk clerk's are great. Monica has been there forever and will help you any way she can, Danny and Nick are relatively new and are good at their job. I can't remember the other night clerk's name, but she is pretty much my the management's book. Oh, one other problem...if you value anything in your vehicle, don't leave it outside. It will conveniently disappear and none of the cameras will catch it. Stay away if at all possible. If you are a normal person doing what you can or there for enjoyment you don't matter. If you deal drugs or are a prostitute, you are...
Read moreplease do not stay here if you care about your safety or well-being. im unsure as to why this hotel is still open. the workers get drunk and high during their shifts. i stayed one night with my kids and after they had already rented us a room out, they informed us that the lock on the door was broken. they had a maintenance man i believe his name was damion come in, the entire time he was working slow and kept hitting on me and flirting with me IN FRONT OF MY KIDS! it took him almost an hour to fix a simple lock. i felt so uncomfortable during the time he was here. i got suggested to a supervisor and come to find out she was smoking pot with i assume guests along with another worker. she is so busy running around with the maintenance man and following him into rooms, im not sure what they do behind closed curtains and i definitely do not want to find out. i talked to other guests and they said she is not helpful at all . the guests say that the supervisor and the maintenance man are together and that she sneaks into his room at night. what really scared me was damion came walking his dog up and down next to my room and he attempted to talk to me but i went back in my room and took the kids and left. the front desk told me that they would look into it however nothing was done so im taking my own action and hiring a lawyer to help. my mother is helping me with this case and said she will look into it. if you are a woman alone, or have children please do not come here, this is not a safe place to be. people doped out everywhere and random men trying to interact and flirt with you. if you’re looking for a place to party or do drugs you’ve come to the right place otherwise i don’t recommend staying here im not sure what type of people run this place but it needs to be shut down. that’s not even considering the physical aspects of the building. mold. roof caved in. horrible...
Read moreI want to start off by saying the front desk ladies are amazing. The lady that was working last night I think her name was Jessica she is absolutely amazing she is sweet, caring, friendly and has to have the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met just truly a genuine amazing person don't find them like her anymore. I watched her save a young man's life with the help of an older gentleman that I assume was an employee and a guest everyone was right there to help her it was truly amazing. The guest that was there when she sprung into action without hesitation all said how wonderful of a person she is and she shows it. If not for her quick actions that young man would have lost his life. I really hope that the management treats your employees as well as your employees treat your guests. I've also had the pleasure of interacting with Staci and I do believe Amy these are three very amazing women that are the number one reason guest return to this hotel if not for the 3 ladies we would not stay here. They are the heartbeat of that place. The rooms really need to be updated you are missing out on great money because you don't update no other hotel is this outdated. Pay attention to details like burn holes in all the blankets curtains falling down bathtubs need to be recaulked so it's not brown around the edges updated pictures bedspreads paint get rid of the disgusting carpet it stinks and is revolting. If you would put a little money into this place to update and have more rooms available you would never have empty rooms because Jessica Staci and Amy set the customer service experience at extraordinary standards no where in this city will you find better customer service. I hope you appreciate these ladies because they are why your buisness...
