We went to this place on Sunday evening, picked it just because we were very hungry and were hoping to quickly get a snack and leave. There were about 7 people in the kitchen and one more client who was waiting for an order placed after ours. We placed an order at about 7.15 pm and we got our order in 35 min.! I think this is not acceptable for a fast food place with 7 people making two sandwiches and a bunch of fries. The standard of a proper restaurant is to serve an order within 20 min, and if it takes longer, the customer should be informed. But this is a fast food place, nothing sophisticated. During the entire waiting time, the people who worked there were quarreling and finger pointing. They all looked like students, and although I'm okay with the idea of students working, I am against people not being trained enough to perform their job correctly. Obviously, there is a huge issue both with identifying responsibilities and processes. 20 min after the order, one guy approached us and asked what was our order. Should I mention that I was speechless? Apparently, somehow, they were losing track of the orders, which I cannot understand since there were only two clients waiting: one guy and us. Also, there was dirt all around, some people were trying to clean the place but were also stopping in the middle and were returning back to the kitchen, not sure if they followed any health and hygiene rules. The girl who was accepting our order in the very beginning of this story was wearing gloves, but I am not sure if she changed them when she returned to help with the orders in the kitchen. I am concerned that after touching the computer screen she could have touched the food with the same gloves. In addition, this day they were lacking some ingredients. They couldn't add onions to our sandwiches, and as far as I remember, the guy who left the place while we were placing the order said something about missing bacon. Maybe it wasn't bacon, but definitely something else apart from onions. We left at 8 pm, and although the place should have been open until 9 pm, we noticed that they switched off the "Open" sign, and were already cleaning the appliances when we were leaving. I was hugely disappointed and I have no intention of coming again, neither to this place nor to any other Penn Station. I hope the owner of the place will closely watch what is happening there as it appears to be different from what...
Read moreThis is a horrible place to work and I wouldn't recommend eating here either! The GM walked out for not getting paid correctly. I mean he closed the store up and put sign on door. Nobody even told my son not to come in that evening and the other staff had at least an hour to notify him (plus they use an app called crew to communicate). Now there is a new GM. He took my son off the schedule with no notice, once my son got to work they sent him home then called him back in 45 mins later. Then they fired him the next day and didn't even tell him for 2 weeks. He kept calling about his schedule and he was just told he wasn't on there for the week for 2 whole weeks. My son was never written up, he only worked there a month or two. It was his first job. He still doesn't understand why he was fired. The new GM mumbled something about the old GM. Oh and the new GM sells moldy bread! He picks the mold off and sells it! My son has the screenshot from their group chat!
I would like to say the RM is a really great guy and I truly hope he finds great staff to turn that location around. Right now, I have never in my life seen such an unorganized,...
Read moreI don’t suggest going here unless you arrive 2 hours before they close. I walked in with my son at 9:15. Right off the bat was greeted with attitude from the girl at the register. She rushed through my order asking if I wanted every specific thing on my sub because I said I didn’t want mushrooms in the beginning. They were trying to clean up and close with FOURTY FIVE minutes still left of being open. If I was the owner of this store I would inform my employees that this is the EASIEST job they will ever have in their life so enjoy it while they can or hire staff that will represent their company in a better light. A lot of sub shops around Louisville, with just as good if not better food. And a lot more friendly staff. I suggest taking your hard earned money to a restaurant with better, more...
