My old review was 4/5 stars - "The place was mildly dated but in good condition, staff was very nice and courteous."
After four months of patience dwelling on it in anger every night I still haven't received the refund for the $250 the hotel stole from me on claims that we smoked marijuana in the room.
We were up half of the night of March 4th, 2017 hearing the neighbors in the room next to us through the adjoining door hacking up their lungs like I used to hear the idiots in my hometown doing back in high school. In the morning by the adjoining door we smelled marijuana smoke on our way out. We didn't mention it to the staff because we assumed they were respectable and would hold those people accountable with the fee. I didn't leave a bad review initially because I didn't see my neighbors actions as the hotels fault.
After several phone calls with responses by staff saying the "General Manager" isn't in and I needed to call back at a specific time or them saying the "General Manager" would call me back next time he's in I still haven't spoken to him. I've sent a few emails to the Best Western account, I've even sent a really long letter to their address. I've never received a response. My only communication has been some staff members trying to get me off of the phone as fast as possible and others rudely telling me I'm guilty and there's nothing I can do. During my stay the lady there at night during check in was very nice though, I wish I remembered her name.
So...four months later I still get bitter thinking about this place daily. Eight months after being diagnosed with grade 3 (terminal) brain cancer and getting donations for that vacation from friends, family, and people I have never even met, this hotel outright stole $250 of it. We didn't smoke marijuana in the room, we never smoked marijuana, I hate the stuff. We don't smoke anything.
Edit: 15 months later I'm still bitter beyond belief. I've never been stolen from like...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 days and it was a horrible experience. I will never patronize this location again. I do not recommend this location to anyone especially families with youth. Location is off the road and quite which is ok but it’s also dirty inside.
I complained to the front desk about my room being infested with roaches. They disregarded my conversation. When I was up to take a shower in the room I spotted one large one crawl from out of the ironing board I planned on using and I immediately jumped and called the front desk. It seemed to be a problem to have someone come to the room but I expressed again that I wanted them to see exactly what I was referencing earlier. The manager came up to see with her own eyes. Saw, and killed the large bug. It was then that I also explained I felt some crawling on me in my sleep and pointed over to show that the sheet that were on the bed when I checked in were dirty. She told me she would ‘ look into my room’ to see what she could do. I said ok. Thinking I would either get compensated or atleast a new room. I received neither. I paid almost $200 just to sleep in filth. I called the hotel after checking out days later to see if there was any resolution- the guy that answered said the room was already paid for and nothing would be provided in compensation and hung up.
I received a call from staff that left a voicemail and when I called back - on four different occasions they took my msg and I never heard from anyone.
So $200 to sleep in filth ? Roach infested hotel with cold breakfast that looked distasteful and dirty sheets. Completely unprofessional to not take accountability for your establishment and to think the manager saw with her own eyes the roaches in my room and killed them herself and STILL DONT SEE HOW THIS IS WRONG ENOUGH TO...
Read moreI stay here regularly. The staff are amazing and very considerate! The front desk staff are super competent. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, and the lobby remains open 24 his a day. The breakfast is hot and usually buffet style with options for pastries, fruit, yogurt, and cereal. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and have cable and WiFi. The doors all have peepholes, deadbolts, and the security arm at the top. The TV'S have HDMI ports and the red, white, and yellow ports for attaching devices. They have rooms with Micro/Fridge combos, and some without. The vanity is outside of the bathroom. There are nice and loud exhaust fans in the bathroom for added privacy. Some of the rooms the bathroom fan is on a single switch with the light, and some have a separate switch for the light and fan. The ac gets nice and cool. Haven't had need for the heat just yet. Parking at the front of the hotel is limited, but there is plenty of parking behind it. The pool is indoor, open til 9pm, and nice and warm, and the hot tub is very very warm. The fitness center includes a treadmill, stair climber, and a weight training machine. Pets are allowed on the 1st floor only. All of the rooms are non-smoking. There is a single elevator located in the center of the hallways with emergency stairs being on the ends of the halls. There are additional bathrooms just off the lobby. There is a computer and printer in the lobby as well for free use.
There is a Walmart, Applebee's, O'Charlies, Staple's, Penn Station, Dollar Tree, Enterprise rentals, Subway, DQ, Wendy's, and plenty of other businesses nearby.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a moderately priced hotel. I will continue to stay here when the...
