SWAY Nightclub — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Absolutely appalled. I came here with my bestie for her birthday because we were personally invited by management. I am a model/VIP concierge in Miami who only works in exclusive locations with high end clientele. I am a girls girl and also social media influencer in supporting women.

We were chilling in the section behind the DJ booth and the “bottle girl,” who appeared to also be chilling, decided to physically move me out of her way so that she could talk to her friend. As a woman, I informed her that she has no right to put her hands on another woman without saying permiso or “excuse me.” Rather than apologizing, she became extremely rude and began exclaiming how she did not touch me at all.

I explained to her that she did, as she put her entire arm against my body and moved me. She continued with hostility, yelling at me that she did nothing.

I held my ground while she shouted in my face and I continued to explain to her that her actions were not okay. Next thing I know, their giant bouncer who resembles Shrek grabbed me with one arm and began dragging me away from my friends. He squeezed me so hard, trying to hold my entire body weight in between his arm and his body. I am 5’5, 125 pounds. My legs were off of the ground and I was completely in the air. I have breast implants and I was seriously concerned that he may have popped one of them. I am still sore this morning.

Management told him to put me down and allowed us to stay, but we chose to leave after this occurrence. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I can completely understand removing someone from a nightclub who has done something wrong, but I simply asked their employee not to touch me. I am a professional, running my own business and working only with millionaires. I would never physically fight anyone at this age, let alone a bottle girl in a nightclub.

Needless to say, do not go to this club unless you want to be disrespected and illegally touched by employees. In the United States, it is generally illegal for security guards (including bouncers) to physically grab or forcibly remove someone from a public establishment if the person is not engaged in any criminal activity or posing a threat.

Security guards are civilians, not law enforcement. They do not have the same legal authority as police officers to detain or use force against individuals. Using force to remove someone without justification can lead to consequences. For example, using force on someone who is not threatening others or committing a crime could be considered assault and battery, or false imprisonment.

I have already been in contact with my lawyer regarding this situation, but I am writing this review to ensure that anyone considering visiting this club may think twice about their safety before entering...

Incredible, beautiful, and super fun nightclub in the heart of downtown Ft. Lauderdale off Broward Blvd & 2nd Ave. Upon entry you can see a professional security team and staff checking in guests. Right as you get in, you'll see their beautiful bar and large dancefloor and notice an awesome array of professionally-programmed lighting, CO2 cannons, and other FX that really added to the experience. The VIP sections are huge and provide what looked like up to 50 VIP tables that were all full by the end of the night.

Did I mention the Funktion 1 sound system?! Funktion 1 is one of THE absolute best sound systems you can purchase for your nightclub and it shows they mean business. CRISP, CLEAN, and LOUD (but not uncomfortable) sound quality really puts the cherry on top. These speakers are hand-made in England by the way.

They were fully staffed with bartenders, cocktail waitresses, dancers, bathroom attendants, and even cleaners that consistently mop spills and pick up debris from the floor as they fall (like confetti amd such). So it really shows organization. The DJs were fun, active, and played all the hits that would please any age group. Folks were dancing all night.

We met the management, particularly Dino (the MAN) and were well taken care of. He showed extreme care and hospitality. We were really blown away and felt like VIPs immediately.

We're just visiting town so if you are too, definitely come here. If we lived here, we would easily frequent...

This Is most certainly the Worst club experience I have ever had the misfortune of Spending money on… Let me tell you why .. The staff are the most impolite people ever and don’t add on to the experience of having fun, everyone that works there and I mean (everyone) is smug and obnoxious, Most of the security guards are drinking and smoking while they’re supposed to be protecting the peace leading to drunk kids to destroy other peoples attempt at a good night , the Bottle meńu shows you one price and they charge you a completely different much higher price … and wait let me get to the best part… even tho I spent upwards of a 1000$ at this dump they call a club they would not provide me regular WATER! Even tho the bottle service comes with a pitcher of water to keep you hydrated ! The management is terrible and allows for employees to make they’re own rules as they go along and just try to flat out disrespect you and Robb you , while I was supposed to be drunk and having one of the best nights of my life…I ended up having one of the worst experiences ever at this place I thought about what I would say in this review for a whole 2 days just so hopefully I could get the next person that reads this to pick absolutely any other option (PLEASE PICK ANY OTHER OPTION!!! ) don’t waste your time and hard earned money on this Disaster they call a night club just to be disrespected. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE...
