Let me tell you. This was worth the trip to Fort Lauderdale alone! Rich and Zen are beautiful people who truly care about the plight of the sea turtles. They have passion and complete focus on not only taking you out to see what they do but opening your eyes to a true endangered species problem you didn't know about.
of course nature is unpredictable and they cannot promise you will SEE turtles
On our midnight trek however we saw two full grown mama turtles nest and bury their eggs and go back out to sea. An awe inspiring experience that was second to none. I would not reccomend for anyone with low patience or understanding of the environmental efforts these wonderful people have sacrificed their time for. Photos cannot be taken but lifelong memories were made. Or young children as this was a 4+ hour trek starting...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful experience. Smaller group so you could be involved and ask questions while still being able to see. Doug was fantastic. We missed the baby sea turtles coming out of the nest, but other volunteers who were watching the nest caught 84 baby sea turtles who were disoriented by the lights. Not only was this a once in a lifetime experience but also very informative. I’ll never look at the bright beach lights the same, or the illuminated trucks that drive by. Completely worth the trip and trek. Also they only operate on what finds they receive from the public, so it’s also good to know that you’re also helping to support such a great...

When questioned, he got defensive and verbally abusive with bystanders. At one point, the volunteer refused to let the turtles go, which sparked the idea (along with his lack of professionalism) that the volunteer may be doing some sketchy things with...
