I have been a sephora customer for over 30 years. Making my purchases in the Dade County locations only. Today was my first time at this location and it started and ended excellent. The middle is where it all went wrong. I came to this location for the sole purpose of purchasing matte/oil controlling full coverage foundation. The sales associated that helped me was Ms. Verlyne - she was pleasant, professional, polite and most importantly patient with me. I ended up purchasing the proper (Nars) foundation for me. Prior to cashing out (with the Nars foundation in my hand) I browsed the fragrance section and this is when my shopping experience took a turn of uncomfortableness by Ms. Marilyn-cashier and her unnamed co-worker. Upon approaching the fragrance section they were in a one on one conversation until they saw me. Then they both stop talking to each other and began intensely watching me without providing any assistance. When I approached the register I was greeted by Ms. Marilyn with "are you ready, cash or credit"? I responded "cash" and asked if there were any samples that I could receive. I was told "face moisturizer" only. At this point I was so turned off by being watched and not receiving assistance that I began to walk off without my receipt. Before leaving I met the store manager Ms. Kim and shared my experience with her and to insure proper service (the meaning of tips), she listened and provided me with more product samples and asked me to please return for any future purchases. She apologized for the lack of continued excellent customer service and informed me that it would be addressed. She also explained that the customer service I didnot received from Ms. Marilyn and unnamed co-worker is not what is expected at the Sephora stores. I understand being proactive to prevent external theft and continued customer purchases, but I felt it could have been implemented more discreetly and professionally. The store was clean, organized and well staffed. I simply felt like an unappreciated customer that may steal product off the shelf and Ms. Marilyn and unnamed co-worker would careless if I ever returned. 2 stars 1-for Ms. Marilyn and the other star for Ms. Co-Worker. Thank you Ms. Kim and Verlyne for your excellent customer service and resolution regarding...
Read moreA Long Overdue Thank You to Dina at Sephora! I’ve been meaning to write this for way too long, but better late than never! Dina did my makeup for one of the most important days of my life—my elopement on August 15th, 2025—and she absolutely nailed it. From the moment I sat in her chair, Dina made me feel completely at ease. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and made sure the final look felt like me, just elevated. It was the perfect balance of natural and glam—flawless skin, soft yet defined eyes, and lips that lasted through happy tears and champagne toasts. Not only is Dina incredibly skilled, but she’s also warm, professional, and clearly passionate about what she does. Her attention to detail and calm demeanor made the whole experience feel so special and personal. Even months later, I still look back at the photos and think, “Wow, she really made me feel beautiful that day.” Thank you, Dina—you were such an important part of a moment I’ll never forget. If you’re thinking about booking her: do it. You’re in...
Read moreNot a very pleasant experience :/ I asked for help twice and the first time I did, she gave very short answers and seemed to be rushing me and I would ask about one product and she would immediately say "no, [another product] is better" and then step away even though I still had questions but then I'm guessing she was needed for checkout so I said thanks. Second time around about 15 min later, I asked a different woman a question and she told me to Google it, I said ok and then I asked another question to which she was answering as she was taking steps back .... I did the rest of my shopping as quick as I could. And then as I was standing in line, I guess someone they knew came in and they were having casual convo while I was right there just waiting to check out. I don't mind that they were talking to the person they seemed to know but I wish they could've stopped just for a second so I could leave. Idk, just not a pleasant experience. Probably won't come to this location again, not very...
