Disappointing. I’ve had many açaí bowls from different establishments. Although fruits seemed fresh, the taste was not there. Even then, it would have been ok (probably would have given 4 stars for food quality) but what was really frustrating is that the extra toppings (honey, cacao nibs and almond butter) I ordered came on the side. The açaí blend was watery which is a big no no for açaí bowls. They’re suppose to have a thick and creamy consistency. Seems like they diluted it with too much water. Honey definitely didn’t taste raw and un-filtered fresh from a farm; it was more of a commercialized filtered honey. This was surely to make a chaotic bowl if I had to place extra toppings on top. I paid $22 for a bowl that wasn’t fully prepared to eat. Overpriced and underwhelming. Seems like they just put things together to make it sound, “healthy” ir order to spike the price.
As for the chicken pesto, that I must say is good and fresh. I’d give that a 4.5/5 Their bottled drinks are $10. Overpriced but good.
The atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing. It had boho/coastal vibes. While it was nice, it failed to have that warm welcoming vibe. It’s more of a gentrified cafe.
The service was also underwhelming. The cashier could have done a better job at asking if we needed help or had any questions with the menu but she just stared at us waiting for us to make an order. It wasn’t that bad but could have made the experience a bit warming. She also could have suggested for me to order the “PB LOVER BOWL” instead of me ordering the “SIGNATURE BOWL” and adding ingredients that were already on the PB LOVER BOWL with the exception of a drizzle of honey. Could have saved me about $4 and have earned a better review. I suggest that staff gets trained a little better to be more welcoming and more interactive with the customers. The outdoor guy that picked up the plates was nice and did his job well. No complaints with him.
I’m not sure if I would come back again but if I did, I wouldn’t order the açaí bowl anymore. If I’m paying for an overpriced food item, I’d expect it to be high quality, great tasting, and ready to eat without having to make a mess by mixing extra ingredients...
Read moreWe went there (Pura Vida on 2364 N Federal Hwy) for a lunch and coffee, the place is really nice, actually it reminds me my patio! Kinda tropical, kinda cool, kinda chic, really nice place. We had bowls, coffee and raspberry tartar (I don’t remember the entire name of this dessert). The mango salmon bowl was amazing, good match of flavors, I recommend it. After this I had my coffee which for unknown reason was terrible, I couldn’t even drink it. Ness!!!! (She’s amazing btw) approached me asking is everything was alright (I know she noticed this because I could tell about her professionalism), I answered her: Actually no, because my coffee taste like no coffee (too light for being a latte) I was thinking of just leave the coffee on the table and leave. But she was extremely professional and kind asking me about my thoughts about the coffee, she offered me to make a new one herself, so I accepted it. Trust me guys, I do love coffee and my knowledge about this it’s really high. So I got my new coffee, which was absolutely perfect. I let her know she saved my day (it’s my birthday btw) because sometimes you find people who really understands the importance on details and how the food and attention can change your mood 100% in only 1 second, Ness is one of them. I definitely will come back but only when she’s there so I could get my coffee (this coffee took me to my inner peace dear readers). After I finished my coffee I had the raspberry tartar which was delicious! and seriously I recommend to go to this place and enjoy couple minutes...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Pura Vida Miami and my first time to the Ft. Lauderdale location. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the experience would be exceptional. The layout, décor, and cleanliness of the restaurant immediately made my heart smile.
I was greeted at the register by Willy, whose warm smile and patience set the tone for my visit. She not only helped me choose a dessert but also assisted me in setting up my rewards account while I waited on my order, a thoughtful touch that made me feel even more valued. Although I originally planned to take my order to go, the inviting atmosphere encouraged me to sit down and relax.
Willy later brought me my Mango Pineapple with Coconut Water Refresher, absolutely delicious and so refreshing. Moments after, Jackie brought my Pesto Ahi Tuna Wrap, which was fresh, flavorful, and truly amazing. The Pura Vida sauce took it over the top. I left satisfied, but not feeling heavy or bloated.
Midway through my meal, Daren kindly stopped by to clear the table, and Jackie returned to check in on me. After I finished eating, Daren and I had a pleasant conversation about the overnight oats, chia pudding, and other snacks available in the refrigerated section.
Overall, I enjoyed a fabulous meal in a soothing environment, surrounded by kind and attentive people. This location truly embodies what makes Pura...
