Today, Monday, November 18, 2024 I ordered my bagels through DoorDash. I got two bagels one just plain, so that I could toast myself another time, and one with cream cheese. First of all, the one that was plain had mold or some sort of white substance on it and it was hard as a rock when I tried to cut it that part off, so I ended up throwing it away, it also was just packaged just thrown in the bag, not wrapped or anything just literally sitting in the bag makes you wonder how your food is handled🤔 so a bit of a turn off there.
Then, I proceeded to eat my bagel with cream cheese. It was also hard as a rock not warm at all since I ordered it toasted and barely any cream cheese? Really? Are you holding back on cream cheese at a BROOKLYN bagel place?? disappointed to say the least this but, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a problem with the food lately, so I had to write a review. I hope this is not due to getting customers with to go/delivery orders that they get treated differently. Every customer should be treated the same since we’re all spending our money and just because we’re not there physically doesn’t mean you should mistreat the food, not prepare/ package properly, give old food etc., should be the same way for EVERYONE .
I don’t expect free food or refund. I just want warn others to maybe choose elsewhere. Tons of delis and cafes in the city. Not that it’s make a huge difference to them, but I’ll choose another establishment going forward because I don’t wanna risk spending my money or time here anymore. But I was a long time customer so, bummer.

Read moreUpdate I was craving their butter grilled blueberry muffin and begrudgingly stopped here due to my prior experiences. As I'm standing in line, the same gentleman stepped to register and asked for my order. I was immediately disappointed...BUT pleasantly surprised. He was friendly, provided great customer service and polite!!! I sat waiting for my order, watching how he interacted with everyone and it was wondeful. The SERVICE now MATCHES the FOOD!!! Which means, I need to renew my gym membership:)
Original Post The food is good, price is a little high but the service I received was digusting and degrading. There's an older gentleman cashier who took my order as if I was bothering him, in a very rude, impatient manner. Once my food was ready he threw my food on a table two seatings away from me, then said there's your order. I thought maybe he's having a bad morning. Because I enjoyed the food, I returned a few more times, hoping a different cashier would be there, or I'd have better service but I received the same poor customer service from the same person. Read moreOk (deep breath ) here we go ... my first time here the food was delicious a little pricey but delicious however I couldn't eat MY FOOD ...let me tell you why. When the MANAGER brought over my food I had a meal with fries and like most fries one casualty might occur when they slide off the plate this is normal what's not normal is for a server of any sort to then turn the tray sideways so that the fry or any food slides down a disgusting dirty tray and then lands smack dab on my food along with crumbs from God knows what me and my friend sat there in disbelief I quickly removed the fry from my food (wish I could say the same for the crumbs that sprinkled over my food like seasoning on a cooking show ) what adds more insult to injury I'm a sous chef and kitchen manager for a company if any of my employees did that they would be written up on the spot and I would replace the customers meal on the house I can't put my finger on it but I've seen the manager before at another establishment that's closed down I see why sorry I love bagels but not the leftovers from others ppls food garnished on my plate maybe I'll try...
