Water was warm, sun was shining and such an awesome day!! (Also- if you can find the $5 lot for parking and an open space, then I suggest that, bcuz it's the cheapest I've seen, and a short walk to the water. Otherwise plan on paying the average of $10)! Theres usually always somewhere you can find that's open, but you may have a higher cost, and/ or longer walk! Other then parking the rest is a "total breeze!" FYI: The "main peer" we like to always go on while visiting this beach was closed the day we visited. (I am not sure why, but looked like they were maybe working on it... (I believe I the photo I posted above is the correct one, but cannot garuntee that bcuz I did not take the photo, I just selected it from online). Edit 09/30/24: this peer is sadly gone and under construction/ blocked off, due to hurricane ian. hopefully they will get it re-built bcuz we...
Read moreThe Beach Park is kept immaculate and always improving. A few picnic pavilions are also available but most people are on the beach! There are 3 entrances on to the beach, 2 with shower stations.
Bathrooms are kept clean and well stocked. Changing rooms are also available. Rarely a wait even on busiest days as there are 8 bathroom stalls.
Limited parking in all but the quietest days. If you are backed up in traffic waiting to get on Estero Island, go directly to paid parking lots. The price is about the same as the paid parking meters at the beach park.
A nice convenience is the driveway in front of the Pavilion that enables you to drop off passengers and usual horde of beach gear. Then the driver can park the car in a lot further away while the rest of the party settles...
Read moreI love walking the fishing pier and getting fudge/ice cream from Kilwin's. There are plenty of tourist shops, restaurants and places for drinks. The sand is amazing for the kids to play in and the water is shallow a ways out. Usually lots of water birds and I have seen dolphins. Not my preferred beach for swimming or for entire beach days, but awesome to walk, play in the sand and watch sunsets etc. They have a bathroom close and pavilions with grills closer to parking lot. At certain times parking can be hard to get because the lot is not huge. Time it a certain way or walk from road parking or under the bridge parking. Awesome sun sets. Great beach for tourists or to take people visiting. Nice atmosphere. Sometimes there are music...
