La Ola Surfside Restaurant at Fort Myers Beach — Restaurant in Fort Myers Beach

Very unsatisfying. Went there two days ago had a bartender that seemed to busy to want to make my drink and that I was a bother. Today I went back for a brunch cause there menu looked good and I wanted to give it another chance only to have a worse experience. Went in with only one other person in the restaurant, The breakfast special was bloody mary and mimosas for 5 dollars which i was excited for. Took quit a while before getting service to the point I didnt think they were open even though the bartender and waitress kept looking at us. Ordered Mimosas only for the waitress to run across to another bar to get champagne and be gone for over 15 mins in the meantime 2 other couples showed up leaving cause no one was there to wait on. Waitress was very rude didnt seem to want to be there. When food showed up, I was sharing my breakfast and Recieved a dirty sandy plate to eat my food on that came from the kitchen, grabbed a knife out of the silverware bin and both fork and knife where dirty. Eggs came out very soggy and not cooked. Didnt eat any of the food or get asked how it was. Just recieved the bill with no conversation paying in full. The rest of the day was filled with way better experiences and food options. If you are looking for some place to go and enjoy your time this is not a place...

Went to the bar today at 1:00, 3/29/24, me and my friend were just grabbing virgin drinks to drink on the beach, a blonde bartender was serving people in front of us, they gave her exact change and she made a snarky comment and gave them a dirty look then said “yeah well tips are appreciated” and smirked, then we were waiting and she gave us an attitude about moving over to where she was then we ordered 1 virgin strawberry daquiri and 1 virgin pina colada, we gave her 16 dollars when it was only supposed to be 12, without even asking she kept our change and did not give it back to us, we kindly asked if there was any change (after we threw money in the tip bucket without her even seeing) she gave us a dirty look then proceeded to say well she thought we were giving it to her, we then asked how much it costed out of curiosity, she said 12 dollars and then laughed while saying “well it’s only four dollars” we both felt uncomfortable so we just left it and walked away. Very very rude and had no server etiquette, was not a coincidence either she did the same thing to other people in front of us and my grandparents who live down here have encountered rude situations as well. Must GO LaOla is an unforgettable beach destination !! Make your romantic memories here! While I sat for a most delicious oriental salad and a beer, I felt honored to listen to and meet Wendell Ray. He is the epitome of music. His talent is far reaching FT Myers. Wendall has played harmonica with Tanya Tucker! I was most impressed with his original songs and I know they will be hitting the charts soon. I love his soulful expressions of himself through his voice, instruments, and choices of his music lineup. Look for him on YouTube, Facebook. The wait staff is over the top accomodating!
