How refreshing to know FMB is alive and well ! After coming to FMB for over a decade every winter for 2+ months a year, Ian devastated our home away from home Pointe Estero. They haven't recovered. However this amazing gem of a place Edison Beach House is everything we always loved about FMB and more ! We are right by all the action now. We stayed at Diamond Head , Lighthouse and yes we even checked out the new Margaritaville (don't be mad at me locals lol) but hands down this place I think is the best out of all of them including our old condo. The employees are so nice and helpful. Availability is limited and I see why they are the top rated place on expedia. Right on the beach. It feels like the old days on FMB here. Balcony. Multiple bedrooms. White sandy beaches steps away. To the negative reviews I can only say get real. Sure the pool is still getting fixed. The biggest pool in the world is right here. My family is highly affected by ANY mold or mildew. There is NONE here at all. No a hint. Amazing. Everything is in perfect shape. If you are looking for new 2024 furniture you can go try and squeeze into a room at the spot up the road. It's very tight quarters. If you want the true island vibe and feel then this is the place to be. All rooms get sun either , day , afternoon or all day and evening depending which unit you choose. Elevator works just fine. Me and my family needed a place to stay until our monthly rental is available in Bonita and they squeezed us in . Had I known about EBH I would have booked a month here. We just finished eating using our full kitchen. And now we are going to watch the sunset steps away with our feet in the sand. The owners of this place are very blessed to have the women working here they do. So kind. They even let us store some of our cold food before check in and checked us in before stated time. No fees for parking. No hidden resort fees like some places. Just straight forward and a GREAT deal. Thanks so much for being a blessing for us in a time we needed one. Wish there were more days available make sure you book in advance while you can. Ashtrays on the patio. So if you are a smoker you know how nice that is to be able to smoke outside on the deck. Unlike the big place up the road where you have to walk across the street to have a stogie. Who wants that ? We love this...

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the rooms that are really big, when we arrived the elevator is broken, you have to take the stairs, my husband put his car 5 minutes at the entrance of the hotel to lower the suitcases, since there are go up to the 4th floor, and a big Afro-American man that they have as security with a very bad attitude, intimidating, rude, told us to get him out of there, even my husband explained that it was only 5 minutes to get things down since we had to take 3 round trips to the room since the elevator does not work, this was the first time that this man messed with us, then two more times, he saw us arrive and jumped out of his car to say something rude to us, the van My husband is very big, and just because one comma came out a little for the other parking lot, he spoke to us in a bad way that my husband should park again, and so in 1 day there were 3 times in a row for insignificant things, while other guests were doing things really came to his attention and he did not pay attention, since this man saw us he did not like us, it seems that white people do not like him, we went to talk to a manager, the lady in the office said that the manager did not arrive Until the other day, she was always very kind to us, she also told us that this security man does not belong to the hotel although he works there, he belongs to another company, I don't know how they have someone who doesn't have security harassing clients, my husband He is a doctor and I am a pharmacist, we are calm people, we came to relax, not to be harassed by anyone since we arrived, this is not free, and we pay to have a bad time, and that this security man will harass us throughout the stay, think carefully Before you book here, the pool is destroyed and the elevator doesn't work, and the housekeepers will never clean your...

With an ocean view and room with a pleasant Florida ambiance (5 star), then it gets value-odd. Bath: Small bath towels that you'd find in a Motel 6, cracked tiling on the floor, lose fitting plumbing fixtures yet posted signs which say don't use spray on tanning or mascara as it cost too much to clean the towels(?)... No hand soap, so must switch soap (provided at checkin) between shower and sink (soap at checkin(?)). Kitchen: No hand soap (liquid or bar), so use dishwashing detergent to clean hands, coffee pot is vintage 2001 Mr. Coffee model. Utilities: Washer cover rusted (from ocean air) does not provide a high degree of confidence that clothes will get cleaner (just the opposite actually). Maid service: Does not speak any English. When asked for more soap (what is it with the soap in this place?), she pointed to towels, microwave popcorn, more towels... Price: Expected for busy season, but when a 40% price was posted on Google Maps (nice service when asking for directions), we asked for a reduction and were denied as this was for new reservations only. Yet the sign post showed "Vacancies" meaning we could have showed up that night and gotten that reduced price (so note, you could be penalized for making reservations here). Bottom line, they run the place on a overtly cost conscious basis. Margins must be slim. Service and maintenance are eroding. The two strong positives are not enough to make me want...

What an AMAZING PLACE! 1st of all, for a place that was only recently decimated by a catastrophic hurricane, Edison Beach House, and it's owners, have fought back against the odds. Many other businesses are still struggling to rebuild but Edison is open for business! And WHAT. A. PLACE! The people that run It and work there are INCREDIBLE! So friendly and helpful. We had a few random snaffoos with the room, nothing serious, just inconveniences. The satellite tv malfunctioned, the microwave fritzed out, just those random things that happen that you can't control. The manager was so apologetic and kind about it. Immediately got Dish network out for repairs And had another microwave put in within an hour. They even credited me partially for the inconvenience. The room itself was AWESOME! The views from the balcony were breathtaking. The room was very well stocked with supplies for our stay. Everything we needed was there. Plenty of towels and soaps and shampoos. If you travel like we do, you know so many places are stingy with these types of items. But not so here at Edison! From the moment we checked in it was "Please let us know if there is anything at all you need!" Dishwasher, washer/dryer. Two bathrooms. Steps to the beach. You really can not go wrong here staying here. I will absolutely be back! https://youtu.be/9bOTy12xuwQ?si=Gjul1u40KhjFc0Jd

This hotel is still going through construction. They start at 7:15 in the morning and don't stop till 7:00 at night. Balcony rooms all you smell is their equipment exhaust and hear it. The rooms have ants. Not all the TVs work in the rooms. Parking is ridiculous because there's nowhere to park with them having a huge construction dumpster. When they are told about it they just shrugged their shoulders with a smile and say sorry. When I reserve this room I was not knowing that the pool was not operational. Was told they were working on it. This was 3 weeks before my reservation. Then when I checked on it again upon seeing that the elevators and the pool were out they informed me that it was still being worked on but now the elevators were fine but the pool was still being worked on and if I cancel they would charge me $100 the room was only 260 and the cancellation after the 24th of September was $399. This would be a good hotel when it's finished being constructed but until then it needs to be taken off the market. I feel I was taking advantage of.
