A review I wish I didn't have too right...... Absolutely the dirtiest hotel! They get five stars in this category. Pic's attached. More sloppy drunk people walking around at the pool all day and night so don't plan on using especially if your a female or have kids unless that is your thing. And the cursing is obscene at night. I mean really drunk peeps...Bathroom by the pool is disgusting so I guess they go in the pool "JJ". I would have posted a picture but wanted to keep people private. Not to mention the broken bottles and garbage on back stairs and ally near the restroom. Not kid or family friendly at all can't stress this point enough. Poor design on hotel...The rooms are right above the tiki bar..Don't stay here if you have a family or want too get sleep before 1 am. We had a nice suite too stay in... But it was very dirty and had mold and it was not just by chance. Look under the coach and you will see a lot of dirt food ect..AC in room will not reach 70 and is very loud see pictures. They don't clean your room daily or change your towels you have too walk down at 9 am too exchange yourself. The shower was not cleaned either see pictures. They don't prioritize on the guest, cleaning or amenities. I called front desk a few times about towels and food and they were rude. It was Subtle but noticeable. Cops showed up a few times about noise and music at the bar. They will catch you if you drive they tend to be in the ally or on 5th. Take an uber.. Owners don't care about your stay per employee... They make about 30k on a busy night from the bar so your concerns as a guest will not be important at all. That is exactly what the employee of high authority told us. I was surprised. I actually had a very nice conversation with him but he was really honest about the ownership. I told him I cared and wanted this place too be better and could be but he replied "I know but they make too much money off the tiki bar". Great location for going to the beach hard to find parking at hotel especially if you have a truck. The pretty pictures of the pool will have drunk men mostly all day and night which is fine if that is your thing. Very uncomfortable for me and I enjoy having some drinks. The problem is they don't cut people off and you get the really sloppy drunks which security doesn't address and it is a distraction. Oh and security will be hitting on the ladies instead of doing their job. That was one thing that was not welcomed. I only recall one security man on the property and he walks around like he owns the place and is not helpful. You will regret staying here for a number of reasons I guarantee you will come across some of these issues that will bother you. Click on my profile for pictures. Tiki Bar was nice just overall a poor design. They can do so much better at this place but choose not too. Poor management. The garbage in the ally behind Tiki bar stinks horrible. Bartenders are nice as expected but don't bring a drink down from your room or security will be upset because your not paying for it from the bar. Just bring a plastic cup filled with beer or your drink of choice and security and Bartenders won't know. Drinks are pricey... Karaoke is extremely loud until 1 am music will go until 4am. Don't stay here if you have a family or are a couple that doesn't drink Excessively or desires some sleep. Can't wait for Margaritaville to be finished next door the design is so much better and the experience you will enjoy and deserve on...
Read moreMy girlfriend's family rented a couple of houses for family and friends to stay for the week leading up to new years. The houses and location were fine, as was the actual stay. We spent thousands on the houses and thousands at the tiki bar, we went there every single day.
Here is the issue. On checkout day we were busy getting the little ones ready and out of the door on time. This caused us to overlook our Xbox in a drawer and leave it behind. We realized this by the time we reached the airport and called immediately.
We were reassured on the phone that it was no problem. They Xbox would be placed in a manager's office and they would ship it back home, no problem. Two weeks go by with no update and no arrival. We call again and are told they have been 'too busy' to have the time to ship it yet (keep in mind this is a single item and the smallest Xbox in production, the Series X. We wait another week, I know what it's like to be busy at work. We call at three weeks, I get transferred a few times, given the run around, and receive no new information. A few days later we receive a single text message (in broken English) that says shipping is expensive and it is our problem now, they don't even bother to include a name of who is contacting us.
We're at four weeks by now. I call a few more times. Management is either not there or unavailable and everyone I talk to on the phone is clueless as to the situation but promises someone will call me back, they never do.
We are currently on week five. I am supposed to receive an update tomorrow, but still no promise that it will be shipped (LIKE THEY OFFERED THE DAY WE LEFT) and no apology and no reason as to why promises aren't being honored, communication ignored, or why they can't manage to ship a single box in five weeks to a customer that easily spent $10,000.00 at the resort.
The only solution a front desk associate offered me was this, I can go to UPS locally, purchase a box, ship the box to the resort, follow up with the resort regularly to find out when the box arrives (even though they don't return phone calls) and then call a UPS near the resort to schedule a pick up from the resort and then plan that pick up with the resort. Keep in mind this is a huge place, tons of associates, and they receive daily deliveries from these shipping companies.
I use this Xbox in my classroom as a web browser, learning tool, etc. I've told the resort how important this is to my work flow. If they had even told me the day we called that it was all on me, I would have been a bit frustrated but understood and handled it that very day. My issue is that it has taken this company five weeks to try and put it all on us AFTER offering to take care of it for us.
You would think that considering the size of this single item, the fact that we've been more than patient, and the fact that we spent that kind of money with them would mean something but apparently it isn't even worth consistent and honest communication. This is negatively impacting my work and at this point I'm more than fed up with this place. It has left a very negative impression on me. Hopefully I'll hear some good news tomorrow but I am not holding my breath.

Read moreSo this has been a hard review to write because I don't want to knock the resort but make sure to know what you are in for and if this place is for you. I had read the reviews here early and carefully before booking my stay and thought the lighthouse inn resort great for what we were looking for. My first impression of the room was perfectly fine for me and another guest. It was clean, it was comfortable. However, heed warning that the reviews were correct in saying and maybe not overstating enough how loud the Tiki Bar below can be. Me and my friend didn't think this would be a problem after reading the reviews because we thought we would be up late having a good time with the other patrons. However, the rooms have zero sound insulation. And on the few occasions that we weren't staying up past 2:00 in the morning (when the live music ended) it could be extremely disruptive. I'm not sure how a family, or even people that go to bed at a somewhat decent hour could have handled it. There were at least two nights after spending a long day in the Sun that we were tired fairly early meaning, nine, 10:00 p.m.? But it was just so loud that you could barely turn the TV up enough to cover the sound . Very hard to sleep if that's what you're into. That being said, the tiki bars are fun place! Tons of locals and tourists come there , and for good reason! The majority of the wait staff and bartenders there are really great , the food was really good, only seem to have issue with one bartender that just seemed to not enjoy his job very much. Only seemed to be friendly or helpful to people he knew on a first name basis. That brings me to why I gave service four out of five stars. Office staff was helpful , they're messaging system kept you up to date on everything needed, and like I said wait staff, and cleaning service we're always available to help when needed. Location again depends on the person. It's only a short walk to the beach but because of the traffic and construction you do have to cross a couple of streets and there is no stop sign or walkway directly to the beach at this time without having to cross non stopping traffic. That will be fixed with construction in due time. It would be difficult for elderly or you might be concerned with children. Everybody is working hard after the hurricane to get everything up and running, the beach is still beautiful, but this particular location is in a popular area so depending on if you like it to be busy or if you want it to be quiet. This is on the busier side and definitely not on the quieter side. Also because of the hurricane not all of the shops are open. Meaning, there are no places close by to do quick shopping like, groceries, toiletries, etc. The nearest grocery store is only about 4 MI away but with the construction takes about 15-20 minutes to get to. In the future with the Trolley system up and running and the shops being opened again there may not be as much of a need for a rental car . But for now definitely put it on your list of...
