This place is an absolute DUMP. I wondered around looking for a table and sat myself after 5 minutes. After another 5 minutes of waiting for a server I realized clearly no one was going to show up. The tables were sticky, the menu was sticky. It was so disgusting I did not even want to touch it.
I go up to the bar and order 2 drinks and the bartender he asks me for ID. I give my health card as it is all I have. He says that’s not ID and he will not accept it. (I’m 33 years old btw) I also had pictures of my passport and drivers license along with the health card. Nope not good enough.
I ask him if any servers work here and he says NOPE.
I said is that normal?? And he said YUP. Everything gets ordered at the bar. Ugh the way this bartender was treating me was honestly infuriating and disgusting and flat out RUDE
What kind of dump of a restaurant does not have servers and acts like this is normal???
My bf ended up running back to our hotel 15 mins away to get my passport and another 15 min run back.
We made our second attempt at ordering with the same bartender just so we could intentionally give no tip. (And I assure you I NEVER do this). Today it was absolutely warranted.
Definitely don’t recommend this place unless you are going to sit at the bar and just drink all day and you don’t care about proper service and cleanliness.
This place won’t let you add pictures to your review and it makes sense why. Tables cracked and damaged, chairs peeling and rotting. The bar over all has that musty beer smell.
I ordered tacos and they came in a 3-taco holder with only 2 tacos on it. They tasted SO BAD. Bf got chicken strips and fries and the chicken strips honest to god were thin as paper and tasted like how frozen dollar tree chicken strips probably taste.
They served us with plastic cutlery in a bag as well. How...
Read moreThe RESORT itself is actually fine.
But....
The professionalism exhibited from one of the Staff members and management exude a very poor attitude toward one of the guests while enjoying drinks and relaxing within this establishment is beyond shameful.
My company of friends spent well over $100 in drinks at the bar.
Bartender promptly made an issue about a pending transaction from which that individual was told that they weren't welcome and forced off the premises without any just cause other then miscommunication and lack of unnecessary information to complete the bartenders appeasement of what he considered .
Living 11 years here in SWFL, and this is one of the rare times a resort employee took it way too far.
The Management should consider retraining one of the day bar Staff members.
Perhaps a customer service skills class will better assist in proper communication at a given...
Read moreCame to the Lighthouse lounge to hang out. They happened to have karaoke going on that evening. Couldn't rate the food since we didn't order any. We arrived in the late afternoon and there was parking available in the hotel parking lot. The lounge was not too full yet and we found a table to sit at and enjoy a few drinks and chat. There is no table service from what I could tell, but I could be wrong. We would walk up to the bar to order what we needed from the bartender. By the time we left, the lounge was packed with people. A great place to go with a group of friends or alone. People were dancing and having a great time during karaoke. Nice, friendly, casual tropical beach atmosphere at the lounge. There is a small pool to swim in if you like. The hotel is located on the same property as the lounge. Kids are allowed in the lounge...
