I visited this location about a week ago for my first new pair of Western boots I was very excited to buy them and very anxious to try as many on as possible since this was my first purchase. I was greeted by an older Caucasian gentleman ( a big guy) of course in Western wear at the ladies boots section at first he did seem very polite with extreme customer service. I was accompanied by my two children one being my little boy who also wanted to buy a baseball cap he tells me the gentleman keeps looking at him weird. First I told my son they probably donāt want your sweaty head in their baseball cap specially when its a snap back just pick your hat out. Then the gentleman keeps coming and talking to us uncomfortably every 5 to 10 seconds he was in our face as if we were probably trying to steal something or maybe he didnāt want me trying on the Boots I donāt know but Iām not about to spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of boots and not try them on. What I experienced was not customer service at all Iāve been in customer service for many years my family runs a chain of restaurants, customer service is our focus point. He was definitely trying to make us uncomfortable which he succeeded and I moved on to the Main Street location where I bought my first pair of boots and my son bought his baseball cap so thank you to the girls at the location on Main Street yāall did a great job. What I donāt understand is as he watched me try on multiple boots he saw I was struggling and never directed me into a boot that would be for me which was not the case at the Main Street location I told her they were very tight around my leg and she directed me to the boot that my foot easily slid into.I also explained to the girls about the experience I had at the this location. I wish I wouldāve gotten his name but definitely not returning to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell that sucked. Thereās a new Boot Barn on I-30, Iād suggest you go there instead.
Iāll start with, Iāve never seen more employees on duty in a retain store before (15-20). Most every other time Ive come to this Cavendars, staff greets you and then at least 2 different people ask if you need help on the way in.
This was a polar opposite experience. 6 employees hanging out on their phones at entrance, looked up, then back down on phones. Noticed a line at checkout and thought it was weird considering all the Cabendars name tags around. Walked back to jeans, another grouping of 5-6 employees. They were having a great time and comparing their phones. Two employees in the jeans section, zippo. So I tried on my jeans and went back to see if there was another size in what I liked. Asked the gal folding, ādo you know if thereās another set like this in my sizeā? Response: āI dunno youāll have to ask the front.ā
So I went to check out at the front, again, no less than 6 Cavendars name badges standing all around with one register. I stood there, holding my items. They looked at me, then back at their phones. āIs this register open?ā Response: āoh sheās checking out.ā So I waited, while the 5 of them continued to text and apparently get paid to do absolutely nothing. The gal who was kind enough to check me out certainly wasnāt enthusiastic about me coming back or really anything at all. So I donāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually love this store.. This location was beyond awful in customer service. My daughter was looking for boots to purchase for a wedding and she couldn't get anyone to help her. Finally when she found someone (Marco) he very rude and blew her off. Then we moved on to look at the Ariat slip on shoes. One lady walked by us asked how we were doing as I try to explain that we are having a hard time finding the correct size she brushed on past us to help someone else. Yes , at this point we should have left. I finally get to the front to make our purchase the little girl at the front was extremely polite. I asked her to speak to a Manger, she pointed at him and stated she would get him. As I could over hear him speaking very rudely to another customer about a boot purchase she had made. I changed my mind and it very clear. Piss poor leadership was behind the rude attitudes. They seem to have a they are getting paid no matter what attitude. So needless to say if you are in this area avoid this location at all costs. There is one in the Stockyards. This was hands down the worst one!! We usually purchase my husband's FR work clothes at Cavender's we will stick to the one in...
