I went in to get a gel nail polish change service as I have many times over the last few months at other nail salons. The tech advised she would drill to get the gel polish off, which I know is normal to remove the top layer. But she KEPT drilling, and put the aluminum foil and acetone for less than a minute. I’m not exaggerating she put the aluminum on my finger tips, went and got the color I chose and came back and immediately begin filing again. I knew this wasn’t normal and I should have said something, especially because the woman being serviced next to me had her aluminum on before me and after mine was removed, but I let her continue drilling down my nail bed. Less than 2 days after my nails start cracking at the corners and 2 half way across the nail. All the drilling she did has my nails weak and broken. I feel like she did all that drilling so I’d have to start getting dip powder which she said was so much better and would last longer than polish. As I told her that day dip is just loose acrylic in a sense and the strong stuff they have to use as a bond, I would prefer to avoid as I had been. I’ve never had problems with my nails being weak and breaking like this. I actually cut them down because they get too long, this time I don’t have that option. If you want healthy nails stay away from the female tech in front of the wine. This was my first time there and sadly I won’t be back; I just moved to Fort Worth and wanted to find a nice nail salon…. This one is beautiful but I won’t...
Read moreA birthday suprise from the hubby! I wasteuly dressed down as my son opened the huge wrought iron doors that revealed a truly beautiful salon. The receptionist greeted us with a huge smile as my son fumbled over his words. (Keep in mind its my first time there) She amiles and says YOU'RE AMELIA! WE HAVE BEEN EXPECTING YOU! In times past I have had bad experiences at nail salons, so my skepticism is at an all time high. She leads me over to the brochures and says choose which services you would like. I chose my pedi with ease, but the manicures had me in a whirl. There were so many awesome options, I didnt know which one to pick. Sensing my overwhelming decision, the hostess helped me choose a service. I went with the dip! (Great choice by the way, and super easy) She guided me to my pedi seat and took my shoes, and offered me a drink of choice. Mimosas. Wine, soda, juice, water. Sooo many choices. I was just taking it all in. The pedi was EVERYTHING and the full set is exceptional. My first dip...but definately not my last. It was inexpensive all things considered. I thought my husband and son had lost his mind. My daughter and I will be back in 2 weeks for a pampering package.
Ladies, gentlemen and children too...its only RIGHT to try Left Bank. You wont be sorry. Check out their awards too. (yea I took pictures...
Read moreI honestly don’t even know where to start. I did a walk-in to get my nails and toes done for an important event, and while the actual work was beautiful, the customer service was beyond disappointing.
I drove 45 minutes to this salon and had confirmed the price for an acrylic toe set over the phone beforehand. I was told it would be $45. When I arrived and politely mentioned I had already confirmed the price, the receptionist (who I had spoken to on the phone) snapped back with attitude, saying it was $55. Her tone was incredibly rude from the start.
What shocked me most was the lack of basic courtesy. I spent around $180 on services, yet was never offered a drink, a warm welcome, or even a smile. Meanwhile, clients around me were offered drinks multiple times throughout their appointments. The energy felt off, it was hard to ignore how differently I was treated compared to others. I couldn’t help but wonder… was it personal?
That being said, I want to give credit where it’s due. Daisy did an amazing job on my nails, and the woman who did my pedicure was also fantastic. I truly loved the results, but the front desk experience left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Talented techs, but seriously lacking in customer hospitality, and manners…. that matters...
