Woolen Mill Fredericksburg — Attraction in Fredericksburg

I got married at the Woolen Mill in September of this year and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The facility itself is in perfect condition, the restoration of the building was done exceptionally well. The venue offered everything we wanted, ample space, bride and groom "get ready" rooms. The grooms room is amazing, it has a bar and it's own private bathroom (also great photo ops!). They have a rooftop patio perfect for cocktail hour and photos as well as a 360 degrees bar that was perfect for making sure large lines didn't form to get drinks. It's also worth mentioning that they had excellent acoustics so the music form the DJ wasn't echoing or getting washed out at all. They were always available to help answer any questions I had and our day of coordinator, Morgan, was so kind and helpful! There are a ton of great photo ops (rooftop patio, basically anywhere in the building with the exposed brick!, grassy courtyard, get ready rooms, outside entrance, etc.) One of the big decision makers for me was the fact that it had nearly everything I needed on hand already! Catering (the food is amazing!!), bartending, decor, tables, chairs, linens, etc. were all available by the venue so it made it super easy to just get the remaining vendors needed. I'm not a big events planning person so the fact that the venue offered so much made the planning process so much...

We got married at The Woolen Mill, right next door to The Silk Mill and let me tell you, it was GORGEOUS. We got so many compliments from guests on how stunning the venue was. My favorite part was the amount of natural light in the space, which is rare for a building with such old charm. There are so many areas of the building to take photos too, from the reception area to the outdoor courtyard to the hallway lined with windows. And not to mention, the ROOFTOP! In addition to the beauty of the space was the helpfulness of the staff. I had Jaime as my day-of coordinator and she was so helpful through the entire process and took the pressure off of so many things for me. On the wedding day, she made sure my vision for the decor came to life. The rest of the staff ensured our guests had a great time and made sure we got to try our signature drinks and cocktail hour food before we got busy taking photos after the ceremony. We had our wedding in October 2024 at The Woolen Mill and it was amazing! From the second we had our tour, we were so excited for the big day. The venue is stunning - so simple and elegant while also having a modern feel. We lucked out and had amazing weather for our wedding and were able to utilize the rooftop for cocktail hour which was so fun!

Shannon was our Day of Coordinator and I can't say enough good things about her. From the second we connected, she was so prompt with responses and helpful with planning. She has a great calming presence and we felt very taken care of throughout the whole planning process to the big day. She ensured everything happened on time and it made for a seamless day!
