Everyone was really nice. They had lots of cool merchandise and moonshine. Thor did our tasting and he was pretty cool. I only wish his overalls actually fit. It was really nice to see so many people enjoying themselves. So much that they came back. The experience we had here was not as great as the Tennessee shine in pigeon Forge with worm they did make a couple of the same drinks, and have some of the same Murch and the guy working in the Murch area was super cool because our Chapstick got left out of our package at the Tennessee sunshine and pigeon Forge, so they actually gave us our Chapstick and Gatlinburg, why were there it started to hail and hell for a long time which they said normally doesn’t happen 10 out of 10 totally recommend this location. This location is located near the beginning of Gatlinburg if you’re coming in and is right across from Anakeesta the views here, beautiful and the atmosphere was great. We had a lot of fun. Make sure to eat in between and drink. Lots of water. The moonshine is good goes down like water. FYI the tasting cups are only a half ounce not one ounce.

Offering an $8 flight of 12 samples, I thought I’d give Tennessee Shine Co a try during one of my midday strolls through downtown. Fortunately, the detour only robbed about 5 minutes of my time which would have been better spent elsewhere. The hostess was polite and professional, ensuring I was informed on everything available. It was because of her courtesy, I even gave the place a chance. My experience took a turn when I was delivered into the company of a vulgar server who spewed lewd, adolescent jokes with every breath. Perhaps he was accustomed to these puerile antics being applauded by the inebriated audiences which stumble into his midst during the late hours of the night. But this early afternoon crowd looking to conservatively sample and shop was a little less amused. I kept hoping he would eventually read the room, but his deluge of off-color humor wouldn’t cease. I left the sampling early, and cut my losses.

If you’re looking for a top-notch moonshine tasting experience, do yourself a favor and ask for Tammy at Tennessee Shine Co.! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel like part of the family—except the fun kind that hands you a glass instead of asking when you’re getting married. Tammy’s knowledge of the flavors and history behind each shine was impressive, but her personality really stole the show. She had us laughing, learning, and—most importantly—loving every sip. Whether it was a classic or a wild new flavor, she guided us like a true pro, making sure we found our new favorites (and maybe a little trouble). If you’re in town, don’t just stop by—make sure Tammy is pouring your drinks! You won’t regret it… though you might need a nap afterward. Cheers, Tammy! We’ll be back for more!

We visited on a pretty slow evening. There was an opening so we approached the bar area initially just to ask how the tasting worked because it had been a while. My husband was just standing there and immediately our experience went sour because the bartender, who seemed drunk and barely stable (we actually witnessed him drinking while serving), told my husband he looked like a sour puss and to just be patient and he'd get to him. This man literally walked past us ignoring us entirely for God knows how long and we didn't do a dang thing to him. Next, I feel like I need to preface this by saying my husband and my friend that we were there with are both military- we're familiar with vulgarity and rude comments but this bartender TOOK THE CAKE for the most uncomfortable comments I've ever heard from a business. This man told a woman in front of her husband he wanted to "do her" and then when her spouse seemed slightly irritated said don't worry, he'd do him too. And that wasn't the only sexual comment he made to many women at the bar. So after about ten minutes we relocated to the other side. Thor was much nicer, but it might be because I was so stressed out and mad that I was almost in tears. He seemed frustrated at the other bartender. The moonshine flavors were good. The lady at the door was incredibly friendly. But, that one man- Bubba?- was so horrible he ruined the experience entirely. I actually crushed my identification in my pocket like a stress ball. This was the first time I've visited Gatlinburg and been able to do these tours, and getting a kid free night is rare. If you're like me, don't start your night off with this place. It will ruin your entire day. And if you're anyone who doesn't want to see women treated poorly and sexualized just for...

I have been going to this place since it was Doc Collier. My buddy and I always go here because the flavors and environment felt authentic but not too “cliche” with the moonshiner persona. I went with my girlfriend, this past Sunday around 6 and this was going to be stop number one on our tasting trail. We initially paid for just five flavors and didn’t want to do the bourbon portion. So we get in to the horseshoe room with a good group of people and the tasting begins. Immediately we’re poured bourbon after refusing because we were trying to be honest but the guy just looked at us almost offended. The tasting became just chaotic with no order, a couple joined late and the male could barely stand and was cursing up a storm making everyone visibly uncomfortable. He should not have been served. Then at one point, the bartender missed my cup completely and spilled about a baseball sized worth of product onto the bar. So, I asked the female working if we could wipe it up, and she proceeded to roll her eyes and as she was wiping it she looks at me and says, “there ya go princess.” So at this point I’m over moonshine tasting completely and we decided to taste ciders and wine down the strip instead of shine, In hopes we didn’t have the same experience. We’ll probably be back but just a disappointing experience from my favorite...

Long review but worth the read I believe. We came in on 31 Aug 25, a holiday weekend, next to Noone in the store when my group came in. Immediately got an off vibe from "steve" I believe he wasnt very forth coming about himself so could be wrong on his name, but very jacked older gentleman. He was rude, not talkative or informative and honestly downright a fraud. He even was complaining to the host at the front door in the middle of our taste testing about being the only server scheduled that day. Very unprofessional and ruined the entire experience. But the main part of this is the guy is a fraud, I've been in the navy for 15 years and not once have I ever heard someone refer to themselves as a "navy combat diver" we have rates and that isn't even a rate, its a job that seals do, but if you were a seal you would simply say a navy seal. This is a guy who is in great shape for anyone's age honestly, but he told me and my wife that and we Immediately said "oh cool we're both in the navy" and he literally turned and walked away, I'm sorry how many other navy people do you meet in the middle of Tennessee? Total fraud and possibly the worst server I've ever had in my life, not just in Gatlinburg but in the 34 countries I've been to in a real...
