There’s plenty of parking at the Gatlinburg welcome center, we were able to leave our cars right next to the pick up spot. The trolley is no charge, the parking is no charge either. We decided to stop at the welcome center in order to go inside, buy some gifts and use the restroom. The restrooms were absolutely horrible and it smelt terrible. We returned to the trolley pick up point and we’re the only ones there until five minutes before the trolley and by that point there were so many individuals trying to get on the trolley that some individuals were left behind. The trolleys are not similar to a school bus, the seating is along the walls in some areas of the trolley some are benches. People are able to stand, but there are children everywhere. We made it to our destination, which was by Ripley‘s aquarium, and it was a nice smooth ride. The driver was very knowledgeable and gave us some brief information on some of the landmarks and let us know when to board the last trolley going back to the parking so we were not left in Gatlinburg without a ride back to our cars. The trolley was clean and it was a great experience.

We all loved riding the trolley during our stay! They are free, and once you get the hang of the app, it's easy to use! All the drivers were fun, but we had one in particular that we were partial to. She was from Ohio, and her husband works at the Pigeon Forge trolley. We absolutely LOVED her and she took such great care of our family! I think the trolley was a huge highlight of our trip and we rode it EVERY night. So much better than paying $20 for parking! We can't wait to come back and see her again, wish we would have fought her name!

Great concept, not greatly organized. Definitely need more trolleys as we got denied getting on one due to crowding. Was convenient if you could get on. Waited 35 minutes for another to appear and it did not. Ended up walking back downtown (from Crockets Mini Golf) and the trolley never even passed us. So an hour or more between trolly stops is a little useless. I would gladly have paid for the trolley if it meant I could actually get to ride it. I know traffic is congested but to see so few trolleys is disheartening.

Over all it worked out for us. It was a Friday in early Oct and not as peopley as we were told it was going to be the next day. It was a little too peolely (crowded! ) for our pref...Def glad we weren't their the next day. Albeit the crowd isn't their fault.

Definitely need to put a pin on their maps at their stops so you can figure out where you are and on which route. We guessed and by dumb luck got it right. If it had these pins on their maps at the stops I would give em 5 stars.

Their 3 drivers we experienced were nice and helpful. They guided us where the pin-less maps left us in the dark. As most folks there, we were visitors and didn't know the streets like the locals would.

I've read & we heard the wait times could be long. Thankfully ours weren't more than 5 minutes.

It is good to note this Gatlinburg trolley is a completely different 'system' than the pigeon forge trolley system...although they do work with each other....well, share 1 common stop to exchange passengers.

It might be helpful if the 2 systems could find a way to better work together...not sure if that's possible but 'a' knows their stops and can try to give you arrival times of their troellys...and can only tell you where the stop is at where system 'a' drops you off and system 'b' picks you up...a & b can't tell you much if anything about the other except where that 2 stop is at. I'm told teamwork does make the dream work....and would really make this experience better for the customers and make both of the 2 systems even more effective and probably even...

The Blue Line is so unreliable. It left two large families stranded downtown for an hour with no idea of when or even if a trolley was coming. We parked at the Park and Ride at City Hall, and came in on the Blue Line. We wanted a quick adventure downtown, and then get right back on the bus when it came around the loop again. We arrived at the transit center at 815pm, with plans to get back before 9pm. We got back at 855pm. The screen with arrival times assured us there was a trolley coming in 1 minute and then another in 23minutes. 1 min came and went, and a purple bus came through. More time went by, and the 23 minutes counted down to 18min and then reset to 23 minutes. Another purple bus came by, even though a blue bus STILL showed as arriving in 1 minutes. We finally asked the red bus that stopped. And he told us the bus was offline and at Greenbrier, something not even on the route. Finally, it came back online and we had to wait another 28minutes. In all, we got on the bus almost an hour later. It's one thing if you're told the bus won't be coming or when it will be, but to think it is coming soon and that you might miss it if you go anywhere - it's very frustrating, especially late at night (it was a more reasonable time when we started) and with kids. We saw the same purple bus go by time after time almost empty while 15 people (two families who didn't know each other), just sat there. So, so frustrating, unprofessional, and downright...

I'm posting this because of my terrible experience with the Gatlinburg trolley.my fiance and I walked the trail from Gatlinburg to the sugarlands visitor center and were going to take the trolley back.we told by the visitor center staff the last trolley would pick us up at 5:05 and take us back to Gatlinburg so we waited in the trolley pick up area from 4:45 till 5:19 while I was afraid they might have told us wrong I called the Gatlinburg trolley station and the older man that answered said she had a scheduled stop at the aquarium at 5:30 first so we waited till 5:45 when she showed up then said she was by there at 5:05 which was a total lie because we had been waiting there so I called the trolley station back to report what happened expecting some kind of apology and all he said was what do you want me to do fire her? I'll fire her when she walks through the door in the morning will that make you happy? I asked if he was a supervisor he said yes I asked if I could have his name he said nothing so I said are you refusing to give me your name he said call back tomorrow.we also decided to walk back instead of getting on the trolley after she lied then said we had to ride another hour before getting back to Gatlinburg. We were so upset and frustrated it ruined the rest of our day.we will never depend or wait for a Gatlinburg trolley ever again and will recommend against it as I work at a local business on...
