We had a great time learning about the history and hearing about some ghost stories of Gatlinburg. I had so much fun that I want to go again tomorrow! The tour was an hour long which was a good length of time however, I wish they offered a slightly longer version for anyone who wants even more history and stories.
We did get to visit most of the haunting locations but the tour is no longer allowed to go into the cemetery which is unfortunate. We were able to walk to the front of the cemetery so we could at least see it and still enjoy some of the atmosphere of the area. I think 99% of people who take tours like this one are respectful of the history and the final burial locations of the deceased. The tour company has to follow the wishes of the local law enforcement and families who have people buried there which is understandable, but I do wish the families and law enforcement would understand that it’s not these groups who are the problems. If anything the groups likely deter vandals. But like I said, I understand, and at the end of the day it’s not my families history and cemetery that was getting vandalized. I do hope the cemetery will continue to be open to the public during daylight hours so we can visit and appreciate the history of the cemetery and the beauty of the old headstones/grave markings then.
Our tour guide; Alistair, was great and if I do this tour again I will request him! Most of the groups arrived early to our tour, but a very large group was having a difficult time getting to the meeting location. Our guide did everything possible to be respectful of the groups who were already there and the group who was late. Luckily, the large group that was running a little late was able to catch up with us and join the tour shortly after we started. I applaud the tour guide for handling the situation professionally and respectably for everyone involved. I know that I personally did not mind waiting a few extra minutes so that everyone who signed up for the tour could be part of it,.
Alistair, was such a great story teller and he was able to keep the energy of the tour up. He spoke clearly, and loudly so that everyone could hear him. He was aware of safety issues (like crossing roads, tripping hazards, etc) and made sure to keep us aware and safe. He was very personable and seems like he really enjoys his role as a tour guide. I’ve done a few of these haunted walking tours in other cities like Charleston and New Orleans and the enjoyment of the tour falls solely on the tour guide. If you get a tour guide who is burnt out or who has just memorized a script, the tour won’t be as fun and enjoyable. Im happy to say that the Gatlinburg Ghost Walk was one of the best haunted walking tours...

I would give this place 0 stars if I could - this is not a reputable company despite the positive reviews on other websites.
My friend and I had some time to kill before the rest of our group arrived, so we decided to book a ghost tour at 8:30 PM. Booking was pretty easy and quick via a third party site - the site did mention that we would be notified if the tour was cancelled due to not enough seats being booked.
We booked the tickets around 4 PM that day, but didn't receive any notification that the tour had been canceled, so we headed towards the meet up spot around 8:00 PM. The instructions said to meet by 8:15 PM at the Dolly Parton statue near the courthouse to avoid any issues with traffic/parking.
My friend and I arrived at 8:10 PM but no one else was around aside from a couple of tourists taking pictures of the statue. 8:15 PM rolled around and the tour guide was nowhere in sight..
We still did not receive any communication about the tour being canceled (we even received a couple of text messages reminding us of the upcoming tour time) so we decided to wait until 8:30 PM to see if maybe the tour guide was running a little late.
8:30 PM rolls around and the tour guide never arrived. We tried calling the phone number on their website but the number is disconnected. Their email address also does not work and was undelivered, so there's no way to contact this company.
We gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited for 5 more minutes before deciding to leave. The company had the audacity to send an automated text message after the tour asking us to rate the experience.
A huge disappointment as we were looking forward for a fun night. There were other ghost tours we could have booked, but we chose this place due to the good reviews and proximity to our...
Read moreMy friends and I made reservations to attend this tour while vacationing in Gatlinburg. We arrived to the provided address minutes prior to the tour time. Though a specific address was provided, the meeting location was vague and difficult to locate. We immediately called and spoke with an office member and was advised that we couldn’t be provided with a resolution as specific destinations/landmarks could not be provided, as the tour guides follow different routes. We were not provided with the option to reschedule. We requested a refund and was advised that the owner, Gabrielle, would have to contact us. We called multiple times over the duration of a week, and never received a phone call back. I eventually sent an email to the contact information provided on the website and finally heard back from Gabrielle. She proceeded to interrogate me and gave excuse after excuse and dismissed all valid points made by our party. She contradicted herself on multiple instances. She is keeping our money with zero services rendered and refuses to refund the amount we paid. Per the “Policies” provided on her website, we were in compliance and there was negligence on the part of the business. This was an incredibly unprofessional, upsetting and unsatisfactory experience. All correspondence received was sent in a condescending tone and written very poorly, containing grammatical errors. I would not recommend...
