This used to be our go-to place for ice cream in Georgetown. Actually, we even drive long distances to get ice cream here on the weekends because that is how much we love it (flavour and service). Yet, we were thoroughly disappointed with our most recent visit. Our family is quite angry, and we had such a bad experience that we wonder if this place is really caring for their customers as they should- especially during these times.

Today: At around 4:30 we went to get ice cream and the first thing we saw was the ice cream server on her phone. She was sending snaps as there were no clients -I suppose- but it took her a while to get to us after she saw our group enter. She then proceeded to attend us without prior washing of her hands and without putting gloves on.

When we realized she was making our waffle cones with no sanitation procedures, we asked her why she wasn't wearing any gloves. Her response? "There aren't any". We were quite upset and bewildered, but let it slide since, well, there weren't any gloves (she could've washed her hands though). The most upsetting part however, was when we SAW two boxes of gloves right by her, even though she had said there weren't any. I told her there were gloves, just in case she hadn't seen them, and she said they weren't a requirement- even though we had asked her as clients if she could please put them on.

Least to say, we are very saddened by this experience and would not feel safe with covid-19 and general health precautions coming here any time soon, or at least if this...

We absolutely love this place. Downtown Georgetown is very much geared towards adult beverages and food. However, this place is a great stop for the family and you'll be able to spend a substantial amount of time here. I really enjoy the variety of toys and the number of unique brands and toy designs. They have. Most of the toys here. Really do focus on creativity and imagination. It is a very fun atmosphere and there are many hands-on products. I would also make sure that I mention their quality book selection. We spent quite a bit of time reading through books, some with finger puppets, some with lots of pictures and some for more mature readers. As you make your way to the back of the store, you will discover there is a candy shop with a wide variety of products and an ice cream shop as well. The employees are very friendly and helpful and they never seemed like we were an inconvenience or we were playing too much instead of buying stuff, which is something I've always worried about in a toy store like these. If you have kids or you're just a kid at heart, I would definitely recommend spending...

Cute store and delicious ice cream! I wanted so much to love this because the reviews and pictures were awesome. When we walked in I was disappointed to see it almost completely void of any toys. Multiple shelves were completely empty and the shelves that did have things on them were messy and unorganized. The kids behind the counter were kind and said hello but other than that ignored us. They chatted with each other and sat silently on their phones with their feet up on the counter. At one point one of the girls was sitting on a display shelf having a full conversation over facetime with a friend on her cellphone. It was a bit disappointing when there were leaves and trash on the floor. Honestly, it looked like a store going out of business.

All in all I'm not writing to be rude or nasty but to hopefully have the owners see and maybe look into it. From what I've seen this place was amazing and maybe it has just been super busy since the holidays and they haven't restocked. I hope to come back and see the place that all the buzz was about! I would love to support a great local...

We visited on the last day of August for our sons 2nd birthday and were really disappointed in the customer service. We were hesitant to buy anything of true value because of the lack of customer service and not wanting to support a business like that. We were not greeted the entire time we were in there (at least 20 minutes) and we walked past the counter a few times too. Our son pointed the workers out and wanted to show them what he found as he loves talking to people but they paid no attention to him or us. The girls were sitting on top of and behind the counter, feet up, looking down at their phones. We didn't even get acknowledged until we placed the small items on the counter and asked to buy them. Luckily, our son had a good enough time looking at everything and an elderly couple that came in towards the end was very friendly and kind to us so the experience wasn't completely ruined. You'd expect people working at a kids store to at least smile or say hello to kids! Take 2 seconds look up from your phone...
