Brazilian Wax by Andreia — Attraction in Germantown

Top of mind: I had an AMAZING experience here!

Background: I used to visit two of Brazilian Wax by Andreia's Atlanta area locations in college YEARS ago. The price point was great and so was the service.

I visited another spa to have a wax and had a HORRIBLE experience. The woman used wax and strips through the whole process, hurt me A LOT and removed skin, and just made me uncomfortable overall. But she was nearby, similarly priced, and I was in a pinch and couldn't get to Andreia's at the time. Definitely regretted it.

Fast forward a few years and I moved to Oklahoma and tried going to European Wax Center there and tried going to a EWC in Miami for vacation. Both times were definitely a better experience than the spa, but I still wasn't satisfied. I had little hairs left over, it took longer than I was accustomed to with Andreia's, was way more expensive, I didn't like the waxing formula, it hurt more than thought it needed to (I almost stopped her and just said I was okay with a basic bikini instead of the Brazilian) and again, the estheticians just didn't make me feel super welcomed.

Review: Now I'm in Memphis and I was searching for waxing places (it's been years since I've been waxed because I just figured that if I couldn't get to Andreia's I'd just do without waxing because I couldn't find anywhere that felt just right) and imagine my surprise when I saw Brazilian Wax by Andreia's in Germantown! I was so excited and couldn't believe it!

I looked at reviews and saw that many people were raving about Adrielly, so I made an appointment with her this past Friday for a Brazilian wax. Remember, it's been years since I had been waxed and I had stopped shaving because I knew that was a no no for ingrown hairs, so I just trimmed.

Y'all, it was GREAT! She was so professional, patient, calm. She was super thorough, straight up ("Ok, you know there's no easy way to do this. Take a deep breath), personable, and SPEEDY. I knew it would hurt, which it did, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought and I know it's because she had impeccable technique. My appointment was for 4:15, I was with her by 4:20 and was out I believe at 4:34 (including the time to pay!)

I'll never go anywhere but Brazilian Wax by Andreia's, am so happy they're expanding, and am so appreciative of Adrielly.

Also, I bought their scrub and love the formula. It's day 3 and everything still looks...

I went to this place because of the reviews. However, with my bad luck i ended up with a new lady that has apparently only been working there for three weeks. It was the most HORRID experience of my life. I recently moved to Memphis and was looking for a good brazilian wax place. I had opted to get full legs too. But OMG did it HURT so bad i cried. I have gotten wax done plenty of times and never has it been such an awful and painful experience!! I'm not writing her name out of respect, but wow was she just bad. She was a nice person, but did not know what she was doing. She didn't hold my skin taut when removing the wax, basically leaving me in pain and did not apply any pressure right after removing the wax to ease the pain. It took her at LEAST 3-4 tries to remove ONE STRIP - causing me 4x the pain. She was putting on the wax wrong and taking off the wax strips on leg the same direction as hair growth. The roller for her wax was not working but yet she continued to put me in pain and basically pull on my skin! When i asked her about her procedure, she said everyone does it different. Also, i found A LOT of hair that she didnt even remove!! What did i just pay her for?? She also left wax on me in many places. It took her TWO HOURS to complete a job which i was told over the phone would only take about 30 minutes. I had another appointment for something else after that which i had to miss because of her. And then to top it off, she knew how upset i was and how bad she did her job that when i got dressed and came out, she was no where to be found. Instead when i was walking out to go to the front, two other employees were just staring at me (not sure why??) and another one was outside waiting for me to pay. No one asked me to make a follow up appointment either. Maybe they knew how bad their employee screwed up. Never had such bad experience at any other wax place ever. I would NOT recommend this place if you have to be seen by someone new who doesn't know what they're doing. If there is no proper training, it's very unfair for the customer to go through such horrendous, painful and absolutely AWFUL experience where you're left all bruised with a ton of hair...

First of all, I highly recommend this place. This place is very new to the city and I was hesitant but I would tell you to please give it a go! Here's my story... After an unexpected and frustrating cancellation of waxing service scheduled with Serenity Day Spa, my wife was looking to see if there were any other places that would be available and offer great service. After quick online research and a few phone calls, we found this place. I called to see when we could schedule an appointment and was quite shocked when we were told that we could walk in the same day. The pricing for a full body massage was around $65 as opposed to over $150+ at other places. I was very skeptical. I found that they had a very reputable service in Atlanta where they originated and decided to give them a try. I was highly impressed. The owner was present and ensured that everything we needed was taken care of. She explained everything to us and introduced us to her staff. She had a very clean and comfortable setting. I was prepared for my wife to be there for a while but was shocked when I found that it would only take around 25 mins. She was in and out before I realized it and although my wife said it was a bit painful ( her first waxing ), she was very happy and really liked the staff and service. If you have any doubts please don't! I asked a million questions and was given answers to everything respectfully and intelligently. I would recommend this place hands down! My wife was/is very pleased and this was very affordable no matter what wax service you are looking for. My wife already scheduled another appointment. Brazilian Wax earned and won our business....
