I stayed for one night with my family last week. We were going on a road trip fro Texas to Florida. We decided to stay here due cause it accepted dogs in the hotel. We booked this a head of time before our trip. The entrance of the hotel was alright. The front desk looked good. Once we showed up to the front desk attendant we asked for our check in. He was annoyed that we would be having dogs per room to stay with us. We had book 4 rooms for that. He did really tells if we were gonna sign first or pay first. He did spike much to us. We were all assigned on the 3 floor with was fine for us. The elevator was not as clean as we thought it would be. It did smell stuffy and stinky. Once I got in my room (320) it looked and smelled great until that is I had to use the restroom and it was dirty. The toilet was used. You could see the urine in the toilet and around it as well. I went down stairs to let the front desk attendant know what happened to our room. I even took a picture to show him and all he did was shrugged his shoulders and just asked us where is your key. And I told him well I didn’t think you whirls want the key cause I thought you were gonna get someone to clean it. He just stared and I said to him I have to go get it. And I asked him am I getting a new rooms then and he said yes. I went back up to get the key and get my things together again and my dogs since I had settled down my things. I got him the key back and gave me a new key to room 310. Once we transferred my things and my dogs to the new room. I started to look around at Everything and it all looked until I noticed the floor was a bit slippery in the bathroom. It looked like they cleaned the bathroom with a cleaner that was not meant to be used for the bathroom floor. I decided to put a towel to help for when I get out of the shower and not fall. There wasn’t enough toilet paper or towels. Same thing was for my cousins in there room as well. We went down to the front desk for more towels. He told my cousin that he isn’t supposed to give more towels to the customers. In me I would think it wouldn’t matter cause we payed for our stay and especially if more people are staying in one room would need more towels. 1 or 2 towels isn’t gonna cut it. For me it was 2 towels and 3 people were staying in my room. The other thing I want to mention is the tv remote was not working. I wanted to to watch tv but I couldn’t. I had to get up to turn on the tv and to change the channels and volume by pressing the buttons on the tv. I ended up going to bed early due to how unhappy I was experiencing my stay at this hotel. The next day that I was checking out at the front desk was actually nice. She greeted me and said to have a nice day. Which I much appreciate her in saying all this. All this made quite of a difference. I wish I had gotten her name but I had to go back on the...
Read moreI booked two rooms, were charged two different prices over $70 difference. Luckily, I had my confirmation email with original rates. Room 230 was one of my rooms, it smelled like sewage had backed up in it and floor was slippery when I reported it, it was said water was backing up in the room and that's why the floor was wet. There was a roach crawling on the dresser and a burnt out electrical outlet. Okkkkkkk when I went down to talk to management Calvin the shift supervisor was on the phone with Neil Patel the new owner, whom told him figure it out. I told the clerk, Danielle, just give me another room she told me they didn't have any more they could give me my money back, I said ok I guess I will go across the st. she then tell me I would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days. At this point I'm FURIOUS, I told them I had been patient throughout all this but call the police because was going to give me my money before I left out there. Calvin told Neil what was going on he told them just give me cash. Calvin hung up and said Ms. Banks don't worry I will take care of you, he ended up putting me in a suite and correcting my rate, which Neil initially checked me in and told me when I checked out he would have it fixed. Briana and Mrs. Lisa is the bomb they had just clocked out when Calvin asked them to come clean the room not knowing what the issue really was they stayed about an hour changing the sheets in my 2nd room 231 because when I pulled the sheets back to disinfect them one had hair all in it and the other black ink all on the sheets. Sheets were not changed still wrinkled with crumps in the beds. Shout out to them. Briana kept saying we will stay and get these rooms cleaned until you are satisfied, they were assigned to the 4th floor and had completed all of their rooms but went that extra mile to ensure I was happy. So thanks guys for that great CUSTOMER SERVICE. Calvin, Briana and Mrs. Lisa I am truly grateful for you all. My daughters 14th birthday was almost ruined but your going that extra mile saved it. Theresa on the night shift was very helpful also. Thanks guys!!! Neil Patel you need to do better the hotel is a nice hotel, great location but poor management will ruin it for you, what ever happened to customers first???? I was told it was being renovated hope it's real soon and rooms that needs to be put out of service is put out of service and not...
Read moreMy family stayed here in a block of rooms in October. The hotel was obviously recently renovated, but it seems the owners only cared to update the look -- which is to say, they put makeup on a pig.
The smoke detector in the first room we stayed in was covered by a wash cloth, obviously missed by the cleaning staff. The AC was broken in that room, and the in-room phone was also broken so we had to call the front desk from our cell phones to tell them about the broken AC. They did send a maintenance person right away, but he was working on the AC for an hour before we finally called the front desk again (using our cell phones) to ask them to switch us to a new room.
The second room we stayed in had a leak in the sink plumbing, so anything stored under the sink got soaked. The toilet sometimes flushed and sometimes didn't, so we'd have to take off the lid and jangle the chain to get it to work.
My husband used to work as an exterminator, so he always checks the mattresses in hotels for bedbugs. In the first room, one of the two beds was wrapped in a bedbug mattress cover, which means the mattress had had bedbugs in the past. In the second room, BOTH beds had these bedbug mattress covers. If I had to choose between clean, bedbug-free mattresses or a fresh coat of paint, I'd pick the mattress.
A relative staying on the first floor had their toilet overflow (after just a number one) and another relative on the third floor had a neighbor hotboxing so the whole hallway smelled like weed.
One star feels generous. That star is for the staff who were responsive to requests. That's the only good thing I have to say...
