Years ago I took my elderly dad to Osborne's old location on Litchfield Rd. to check his watch that had stopped running. They were kind, caring and replaced his battery quickly and for no charge! Fast forward about 4 years . My dad passed and left me his wedding band that had the original inscription engraved inside. I took the band to Osborne to have them resize the band for me. Initially Crystal told me that because the band had to be sized down so far I would lose the original engraving but it could be replicated after it was resized. I wasn't sure I wanted to do that so I left so I could think about it for a while. After a few weeks and some second opinions(where they agreed with Osborne) I decided to go back to Osborne and resigned to losing the original engraving. Crystal immediately remembered me and recalled how important the engraving was to me. After giving it a bit more thought she came up with the PERFECT solution. She had the shank with the engraving cut from the band and had a new shank put in sized for me. Then she had them flatten the original shank with the engraving so that we could add a chain to it and create a bar necklace. I ended up with the best of both worlds. I have the ring sized how I wanted and a beautiful necklace made from the original engraving from my dad's wedding band. It doesn't get any better than that. Crystal was a joy to work with. Read moreI bought my 2nd choice pandora bracelet (thd butterfly clasp) through the official website and learned Osborne was an offical partnered retailer when I tried it on and realized I measured too exact lol. It was 9:30 pm so i googled Osborne and I read so many great reviews! I took my bracelet in the next day and explained the situation, the woman who helped me was very friendly and helpful! But she had to go grab keys & when she came back said "he said we can exchange it for the exact same one" and that would be only if they had it in the correct size, obviously. That put me off, because I was ready to spend the difference if necessary for a bracelet that FIT. I'm assuming "he" was either the MOD at the time or the owner? Either way, luckily they had two bigger ones, the pleasant saleswoman helped me try them on but we both had issues with getting the clasp to close, so I figured design flaw. I was going to completely return online but ended up going to the Pandora store at Arrowhead who helped me exchange! Don't let my review stop you from going because my mom absolutely loves it here and has gone back plenty because of the amazing staff and jewelry selection. I was referred to Osborne Jewelers by my 89 year old father, who has been a loyal customer for many years. In addition to my father’s longstanding relationship with Mr. Osborne and some of his employees, I am also a returning customer.
During my last three visits to Osborne Jewelers, I have noticed a dramatic change in the way some employees and one individual in senior management interact with customers. This shift in behavior has been concerning.
Regardless of whether a customer spends $1.00 or $1,000,000, every individual should be valued and treated with respect. Unfortunately, based on my recent experiences, the special touch of respect, gratitude, and compassion that once characterized Osborne Jewelers now seems very scarce.
Perhaps, it is time for Osborne Jewelers to evaluate these comments to determine if they are in need of being cleaned, polished, appraised, then placed back out on the show room floor to be a light to others.
