Just know before you read this I averaged a great experience at the store. And now I'm going to unload. The store is typically always busy, especially on the holidays, but yesterday, an average early summer day, and after receiving amazing service from the lady that was on the floor helping me find blackout shades for my windows, my interaction with the cashier was 180° the opposite. This girl could literally not have cared less about my presence. She could not make eye contact, couldn't smile, couldn't make basic small talk and I'm actually going to say that she probably was very disappointed that I was a blonde haired blue eyed white male (starting to experience this alot around here with these younger girls at these stores. Not all but a definite handful of them most likely and probably heavily influenced from social media's Marxist indoctrination but that's another post for another day) , and then when the transaction was over, which was very quick, she just stood there... left the security prong backing in the drapes (not the black part that you take off with the device but the part that could stab your hand when left hidden in the drapery . She didn't put any of my items in a bag and she didn't give me a receipt, didn't remove the hanger...nothing. I had to reach for it. I'm like what the heck did I just do? Maybe she got some really bad news from her boyfriend or her parents or something from her work that she accidentally projected onto a customer I don't know. I don't know what I did. I just walked up to the cashier as I was called and put my items down and said hey how you doing with a typical somewhat sincere smile on my face we all do. I didn't stare at her awkwardly, I didn't gawk or look her up and down or anything that would constitute the type of behavior that I received in that store by that cashier. I wasn't wearing anything political or patriotic either. So here's the thing... I'm never going to the store again. And hopefully the money that I don't spend here will be just enough to impact her job where she'll be let go. That's how bad my experience was in the 2 minutes I was standing at that counter! I left the store thinking that I shouldn't have gone in, which is sad because the experience that the other lady gave me on the floor was way above bar! So with all the competition around you, younger cashiers need to do a little bit better on the cashier side with your interactions with guests who contribute to keeping you employed and your store open. Most of you won't be cashiers forever , you'll move on to things that interest you. Especially you younger kids that are whining about how much you get paid. Why don't you have some positive work ethic or bring some higher value to your job. It's like some virus leaking out of TikTok into your brains. And if your issue is with men, welll...
Read moreUgh, this is a very popular place, obviously. Getting a shopping cart and going through the store was like driving on I-10 in rush hour traffic! Not kidding, the best part? When we decided to checkout, the checkout line was stretched around the store. It took 25 minutes to reach a cashier!! Great store, but choose your visit times wisely, or you'll be bumber to bumber and a log jam at...
