Sure I'll write a more recent review.
One of the reviewers is right, Great Falls is fairly small and so is the mall. If you keep that in mind then it won't be much of a let down. It isn't The Mall of America but its fairly decent. It has some pretty awesome stores. A couple of clothes stores where (hey surprise, surprise you can get shoes :), Like at the time of this posting: Maurices, Zumies, Famous Footwear,Herberger's, JcPenny, and a couple more I'm too lazy to mention and right now the food court is kind of empty but I'm sure in a year or two that will change.
Right now (at the time of posting) It has a gourmet chocolate shop which sells special dog chocolate bones for small dogs and big dogs and its fairly cheap for our furry little friends. For people though its kinda steep. BUT it is a gourmet chocolate shop with a 'I liked it' star rating from me only because its a bit steep. I'm kind of cheap only go when theres sales kind of woman. For what it is, it has a fair amount of chocolates and they even sell ice cream :D.
A little ways away from the food court you do get a kind of side store food court arrangement. You have Little Athens, Subway (at the time of posting at least) I'm not sure about the Posh Taco, that might be gone. Again as the years go by this might change but at least for now its kind of a nice selection of food and stuff.
Dotted around the store is some games and stuff for smaller children and some kind of gaming store for BIGGER children XD,
In Montana there is currently no sales tax and that is where tourists (you possibly) can take advantage so it probably won't be so expensive when you see a NEW tv you want.
My Experience: I have been going to this store off and on through childhood to adulthood and seen it go through A LOT of changes. I think my least favorite thing is that when a new store comes in its rare that it'll be there for long. So if one year you visit and that store you LOVE is there it might not be there the next time you visit.
I gave this mall 4 stars because I'm still but hurt that they got rid of Sam Goodies and Walden Books :c Walden books was the only place I could order King of Thorns. Which is an AMAZING manga.
It does have a few flaws and short comings but its a two tier mall thats comfortable :) So if you keep in mind that I said its no Mall of America than just enjoy this fairly decent sized mall.

I believe that all patrons should be informed that Holiday Village Mall has personnel on-site who are now enforcing what can only be described as a subjective and ambiguous dress code.
Excerpt from Code of Conduct "Visiting the center without shirts or shoes, or failing to be fully clothed. Wearing clothing that is, or in a manner that is, obscene, offensive to others, that may provoke a disturbance, or is otherwise inconsistent with a first-class, family-oriented shopping center".
Now, at first glance the rules seem pretty simple until it comes to something that an enforcement individual deems is not consistent with a first-class, family oriented shopping center. Regardless of whether you procured the items within the mall and are wearing them on the way out or bought them elsewhere, you are subject to the morals/views/beliefs of the individual assessing your appearance on behalf of management. Whether it be a skirt/shorts "too short", "seen areas of a bra", too tight of clothing, too much skin present, or inappropriate wording be warned. You may be approached by an individual who takes issue with your outfit and can "expel or ban" you from their facility without discussion.
Today, my wife was issued a warning because part of her bra could be seen from a side profile of her shirt (outfit bought from the mall) and told that if she returned to the mall in the outfit she would be asked to leave the premises. There are stores within the "first-class, family oriented shopping center" whose advertisements appear to be in conflict with said code of conduct. However, patrons are the only ones held accountable. Take this information as you please, but I thought/hoped to spare anyone else the embarrassment of being told by a complete stranger that the way you dressed yourself is inappropriate and deemed not first-class or...
Read moreI visited this mall on 12 Aug 2024 with my family and I'll have to say, I was a bit disappointed with what this place has to offer. Living in Las Vegas and having several premier shopping malls available to the public makes it difficult to look at any malls outside of my home city the same; however, I try my best to view others' malls objectively. I know these days, the majority of shopping malls across the United States are battling e-Commerce concepts making it difficult for brick-and-mortar businesses to even compete. I'm not a big fan of online shopping, therefore, I still enjoy in-person transactions.
My wife has been to this mall 20+ years ago and she told me how well-versed and popular this mall was, just like other malls were back in the day. It's unfortunate that this mall looks the way it does since I enjoy getting a taste of nostalgia from time to time. I know I shouldn't worry about this mall since I don't reside in this city, but it is despairing to see this structure, in addition to other malls in this country go downhill.
I didn't rate it one star because contrary to the way it looks, the stores that remain are still decent...heck, I haven't been to Spencers in a long time so it was cool to see that. Plus, my family purchased something inside Hot Topic so it was eventful to say the least. I was bummed to see only one place to eat in that entire building (Greek restaurant), unless you consider packages of beef jerky inside Scheels. Overall, I won't recommend this mall to anyone visiting that is/are looking for some major entertainment. But if you're a local, all I can say...
