Mystic Army Navy Stores LLC — Attraction in Groton

Very disappointed. I went online to their website and saw that they had, for sale, several different USMC tee shirts. I drove an hour to get there only to find that there was one USMC style tee shirt.

To add injury to insult, they wouldn’t allow you in the store unless you were wearing a mask. I walked up and down downtown Mystic and no one seemed to be requiring masks. I guess I would have expected an army/navy store to respect our freedom of choice.

Anyhow, I realize they have a website to order off of but I honestly didn’t expect to see one style shirt. Most of their merchandise is priced on the expensive side. I saw a sweatshirt for over $50 when I could have gotten the same sweatshirt in Newington for $25. Al least now I know that this retail...

My friend and me went to this store about a year ago and it was a pretty mixed experience. We were being followed by one of the guys working there. He continues to follow us and then block off an exit. Me and my friend proceed to look at the warfare pins, as he is interested in becoming diver qualified when he finishes his “A” school. That same worker follows us there and starts asking questions about the different pins, to which me and my friend have very limited knowledge because of our lack of experience. After that he seemed more laid back. He mentioned that the bases sometimes go to them for extra ribbons and uniform items. My 16 yr old and 19 yr old sons and I have been going to the army navy stores in mystc since my boys we're in their strollers. We love making a day of it. We park at the army navy store on main street, go shopping at the store, put our purchased items in our truck then we walk to the army navy store at the village and shop some more and then walk back. We do this at least a half dozen times a year. I hope our tradition lasts forever! We have bought so many awesome items. Now see getting ready to drive down tomorrow and spend the day and continue our beautiful tradition.
