So where to start with this All in all I would say if your kid does not know how to skate do not go to this rink. They do not have options to walk with your children they do not have options to teach your child or help them walk and learn how to skate. There was multiple times where they told parents that they could not walk with their children because it was unsafe but meanwhile their children were falling in front of other people going a lot faster and that was more unsafe than having someone help them. I will also say they are way overpriced they charged amission for someone who wasn't skating. Even though it was a day where parents could go into stay with their kids The lockers you have to pay every time you want to open it and reuse it. Also the atmosphere is very cool very nice brings me back to my old days they say they have a dress code but teenagers and younger were basically half dressed as a father I don't want to see that nor do I expect to see that when I take my son out somewhere. I understand teenagers and kids will do things like this I was there at one point in time but with the waste society is today would not recommend that especially if they are not being watched properly. They also have a lot of rules that are not enforced they basically say the guidelines so that way you're aware that the rules exist so if anything does happen it's on you. So basically for all this chances of me going back are probably never until they get their act together I would give them a one...
Read moreI love Interskate and have been going there since I was a kid, and also have many memories of taking my older daughter there for over a decade, I now have two younger children 6 and 4 and have been back there about 6 times since opening through the pandemic. I’m very happy to see this business was able to survive after the shut down. My last visit was most recently on this past Sunday. The place was packed, games not working, vending machines down, ticket machines not taking tickets. As a former manager myself of a different company I will say the manager did a GREAT job handling the pressure. My only concern is there’s a game there that kids win candy, in this machine is Jolly ranchers, I find that to be very risky to younger children and quite possibly older children on roller skates being a choking hazard. You may not even have control over what candy selection that machine gets filled with, but if you have a say so, As a business I would make it a concern of your too. It would be tragic to have one those candies logged in a child’s throat. As a guest I know I can choose not to have my kids play that game and it what we decided it’s a fight but it is what it is. We do love this place just an FYI from a concerned parent: I’ll be back in a...
Read moreWell I will start this review by saying the rink is amazing for starters and kids who just want to skate. The floor is always kept up nice and the shape of the rink is very unique with windows to see the floor below you it really is a treat. On the other hand any experienced skater may find it hard to have a good time here. The staff is strick about doing tricks and skating backwards at this rink. Today I had an experience with a fire drill. When the staff told us to get off the floor remove our skates and make our way to the exit. I use custom hockey skates that take quite a while to take off. I tried to ask if I MUST remove my skates and was told "everyone needs to exit" before they walked away. At which point I skated down the stairs and out the door. When they met me outside I was told I was no longer allowed at this rink as skating down the stairs was a liability. I never got a straight answer when trying to leave if I must have my skates off and then when I tried to explain it was a misunderstanding they told me I wasn't allowed to skate here anymore. I believe that the staff handled the fire drill poorly and I was not given a refund for the 4 hours of the session I was no longer...
